Trump sparks bizarre time traveller theory after people spot disturbing detail in 1800s book

American writer and lawyer Ingersoll Lockwood published a book in 1893 titled 'Baron Trump’s Marvelous Underground Journey'

Donald Trump might believe it's his destiny to 'make America great again', but we've seen no proof so far that his controversial presidency was written in the stars.

When it comes to Barron Trump's future, however - Trump and wife Melania's youngest son - we may have a slightly clearer idea of how that could pan out. Or, so a handful of Republican conspiracy theorists believe.

There's actually a bizarre proposition that's been going around since Trump first entered the White House in 2017, that suggests the politician and his family are 'time travellers'.

The whole thing is based on the existence of a children's book first published by American writer and lawyer Ingersoll Lockwood in 1893.

Oddly, while spelt with one fewer 'r', the novel is titled Baron Trump’s Marvelous Underground Journey, and chronicles the adventures of a young aristocratic boy and his dog, Bulger, who reside in 'Castle Trump'.

The book boasts several coincidences between the protagonist and his family dynamic, and that of the real Barron, who is currently attending New York University's Stern School of Business.

Not only are their names pretty much identical, but in Lockwood's work, Baron is guided by a mentor figure named Don Fum - a 'learned Spaniard'. While Don Fum is a Spanish honorific meaning Mr, many have drawn parallels between Don and Donald Trump.

Baron is born into extreme wealth, but seeks a journey of development in his own right, believing there to be more to life than riches and reputation.

In the book, the character's mission takes him to Russia - again, hinting at another possible parallel given Trump's recent words with Russia's leader Putin over the invasion of Ukraine.

Even more eerie, however, is that the books seem to predict some fiery political chaos in Baron's kingdom.

Firstly, it alludes to secret truths and ancient civilisations, which some conspiracists believe could be connected to government bunkers, or political scandals and cover-ups in the real world.

Lockwood's book describes menacing creatures and underground journeys, which some believe could be interpreted to the political 'draining the swap' that Trump has vowed to work on for several years.

More disturbing still, however, is that another of the author's written works is titled The Last President, and describes an outsider from New York - which just so happens to be Trump's hometown - elected into the powerful position and taking the reigns of America's fate.

Fifth Avenue - where Trump Tower is situated to this day - is stormed by socialists, before the new leader calls a man named Pence to his cabinet in the hope of restoring peace.

Could this be an explicit prediction of Trump's rise to political power? Well, some fans seem to think so.

After the theory was shared to Reddit, one fan noted: "Too many coincidences is mathematically impossible."

Another jibed: "Wow so Back to the Future was real too?"
