Donald Trump has questioned Joe Biden's alleged way of signing 'major documents' while he was president.

In Trump's latest rant on Truth Social, a technology company majority-owned by the US president, he has called out former president Biden in a brutal dig.

Taking to the social media platform on Sunday, he highlighted the controversy surrounding Biden's alleged use of autopen signatures during his time in the White House.

An autopen signature is used for the automatic signing of documents, and is usually used by celebrities who may be asked to provide their signatures many times a day.

But according to Trump, Biden was using the advanced tech to sign 'major documents' while he was president.

The Republican leader wrote: "The person who was the real President during the Biden years was the person who controlled the Autopen!"

The POTUS also claimed Joe Biden's presidential pardons are void 'because of the fact that they were done by Autopen'.

To cap it off, he shared an image showing a framed picture of an autopen in between his own presidential portraits from his first and second terms.

He further spoke about the use of the signatures while speaking at the Oval Office earlier last week, regarding NATO spending.

Addressing reporters, he said: "The man was grossly incompetent. All you have to do is take a look, he signs by autopen.

"Who was signing all this stuff by autopen? Who would think to sign important documents by autopen?"

Continuing to make his point, he added: "These are major documents you're signing, you're proud to sign, yet you have your signature on something and in 300 years, they say ‘oh look.’ Can you imagine everything was signing by autopen?

"Almost everything. Nobody has ever heard of such a thing. It should have never happened."

His statement then caused an unsurprising stir on social media, as Republicans backed the president's notion that autopen signatures should not be used in government.

Vice president JD Vance also posted the autopen portrait image on X, but did not add his own comment.

Of course, wherever Trump is, Elon Musk follows, as the tech CEO also reposted the autopen portrait image.

It was actually Barack Obama in 2011 first signed a bill via autopen in the White House.

The Oversight Project, the investigative arm of right-wing think tank Project 2025, claimed: "We gathered every document we could find with Biden's signature over the course of his presidency. All used the same autopen signature except for the announcement that the former President was dropping out of the race last year."

However, the Oversight Project cited signatures in the federal register. The National Archives, which runs the register, told Snopes: "At the beginning of each administration, the White House sends a sample of the President's signature to the Office of the Federal Register, which uses it to create the graphic image for all Presidential Documents published in the Federal Register."

So this isn't actually proof there was widespread use of autopen during the Biden administration.
