iPhone users have slammed Apple's 'terrible' design decision after announcing their latest model of tech.

Apple is known for its innovative creations, but its latest release has got iPhone users disappointed. After the long-awaited release of their 'budget' friendly model, some tech fans are not pleased with the outcome.

The iPhone 16e is set to replace the older iPhone SE, and has been released alongside a much bigger iPhone 16. Despite being branded as their less expensive version of the iPhone, the new model still comes in at a whopping £600.

But the price isn't what has got tech users annoyed - it's actually the colours, or lack thereof.

Apple lovers have mainly hit out at the lack of colours to choose from, despite offering numerous bold colour options in recent years.

Fans were unimpressed, after learning that the iPhone 16e is only available in black or white.

That is compared to the regular 16 model, which comes in the two original colours, but additionally offers a vibrant pink, teal, or ultramarine.

Speaking out on Reddit to express their frustration, one user said: "iPhone 16e colours are insanely boring."

Another said: "iPhone 16e why not in fun colours?"

A third added: "The colour choices for the iPhone 16e are terrible."

"ONLY TWO COLOuRS and they BOTH SUCK," a fourth wrote.

But many people in the comments have come to Apple's defence, claiming the new model is supposed to be a 'budget' alternative, which has been reflected in the colour options.

One person said: "It’s Apple’s budget phone (budget in the Apple world anyway). To reduce manufacturing costs, they reduce the number of different components they make for the device."

Another added: "It’s a budget phone, what did you expect."

A third offered an alternative viewpoint, and said: "If you’re going to put [it] into a case, who cares really?"

Others preferred the 'minimalist' options.

"Apple hasn’t offered a simple black/white option since the iPhone 5," one noted.

The major selling point is Apple Intelligence, the company's new answer to an AI system, which helps users 'write, express yourself and get things done effortlessly'.

A particularly noticeable physical different between the 16e and the regular version is that it only has one camera.

However, Apple has stated that the impressive camera 'has the capabilities of two cameras in one'.

Tyla has reached out to Apple for comment.
