A shocking new Prime Video documentary has shed light on the infamous Moonies 'cult' also known as the Unification Church - and there are some seriously disturbing details.
For those who are unfamiliar, the church was founded in 1954 by South Korean leader Sun Myung Moon, who proclaimed himself the 'Second Coming of Christ,' alongside his wife, Hak Ja Han.
Moon, who died in 2012, aged 92, penned his own version of the Bible, distributing his extremely controversial teachings around the world, but famously in America and Japan.
The Moonies: Married to the Cult delves into the horrifying realities of what went on behind closed doors, including sexual abuse, allegations of incest and even links to the assassination of a Japanese Prime Minister.

In March, the Tokyo District Court ordered the disbandment of the hotly debated church but the harrowing details surrounding the story are still emerging.
One of which is a disturbing 'post-sex' heirloom that members would keep as part of a specific three-day post-wedding sex ritual.

It came as a part of one of the group's most controversial rituals - mass weddings.
Essentially, the church served as a match-making process and would invite members to take part in mass marriages, with Moon or a 'matching advisor' pairing them up with a partner as he believed it was his duty to unify all religions and governments through marriages.
Eerie images of these events show brides and grooms in the thousands dressed identically as they all exchanged vows with one another in a single room at the same time.
According to Yahoo! News, some of the couples would have only met each other for the first time just a few days before their big day.
But the wedding day isn't even the strangest part believe it or not as it's then followed by a three-day long sex ritual after waiting the prescribed 40 days.
Newlyweds are instructed to pick a holy place, such as a room with a picture of Moon and his wife hanging on the wall, and sprinkle salt around the place to bless it.
As per the outlet, couples were told to use bowls filled with blessed water and a handkerchief, which they would dip in the water to wipe their entire body.

They'd then pray, bow to the picture on the wall, repeat, and then have sex (with the woman on top, which apparently is a key detail). Romance at its finest.
For the second day, they repeat the whole thing again, before mixing it up on the third day - this is where the 'heirloom' comes into play - and yes, it's as disgusting as you're imagining.
The Moony law says the couple are about to be reborn as Adam and Eve, so the prayers are different and the man is on top this time.
Cult members then have to take their handkerchief and wipe their genitals with them before putting them away in a safe place and keeping them forever, without ever washing them.
Leader Moon is also said to have made couples drink 'Holy Wine' during mass weddings, having allegedly laced it with his own semen.
"He can’t copulate with every woman to make perfect people so what can he do?" Moon's illegitimate son Sam said in the documentary, "What makes the wine ‘holy’ is that it contains some of the Rev Moon’s semen. It’s father’s way of sanctifying these couples."
