Prince William and King Charles 'on the same page' over one decision involving Harry and Meghan
A royal expert believes a reconciliation could be on the cards for the Royal Family, but not in the way Prince Harry expects.
The 42-year-old landed back in the UK with his wife, Meghan Markle, last month following a six-year absence. The couple were also joined by their two children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, who have since enrolled at British schools.
Harry and Meghan fled the former's home-country back in 2020 after resigning from their royal responsibilities, citing severe mistreatment from both other senior royals and the British tabloid press.
They purchased a property in Montecito, California, the following year, embarking on a number of different professional endeavours, including a tell-all Netflix documentary series, a bombshell Oprah interview and a best-selling memoir.

In the years since, Harry has regularly discussed tensions within his family, famously telling the BBC he 'would love a reconciliation', with his family, especially his father, Charles, and brother, Prince William.
He added at the time that there was 'no point in continuing to fight anymore' because 'life is precious'.
Following news of their return to the UK, Charles clarified in a letter sent on behalf of the monarch outlines that they will continue to be private citizens. A representative for Harry and Meghan subsequently said the couple were reportedly 'surprised' by the King's move.
Though he met with King Charles and Queen Camilla back in July to discuss his plans of returning to the UK, communication between Harry and William has reportedly been non-existent.
Now, according to royal author Russell Myers, while he may be physically closer to his father and brother, Harry will likely have to prove himself to stand a chance of making amends with the pair.
"The King and William are completely united on the Sussexes not representing the royal family," he told PEOPLE. "It’s without a doubt how in sync they are on this matter."
"William’s view is clear - any relationship his father has with Harry or the Sussexes as a family is entirely up to him."
Myers continued: "But looking toward the future, he will have no relationship with them, in a working or private capacity whatsoever."
Another royal author, Simon Vigar, agreed that William and Kate will likely have their backs up against Harry in the coming weeks.
"It is keep calm and carry on," he also told the outlet. "They see it as a sideshow and ancient history."
Chiming into the discussion, royal historian Amanda Foreman added of the Wales': "It will be incredibly draining. They will always have to look over their shoulders and factor them in. And all they can do is deflect.
"Yet, they’ll get lots of jabs and questions, 'When are you going to make up with your brother?’'
Ailsa Anderson, the late Queen's press secretary, lastly described tensions between his father and sole sibling as 'clearly incredibly difficult'.
"The trust has broken down," she said. "Let’s hope it’s not broken completely, and there’s a chink in the armour on both sides, and there could be some sort of reconciliation. But that’s not happening anytime soon."
