Kerry Katona has revealed how often she changes her bedsheets and towels after Roman Kemp sparked an online debate about laundry washing.

The Capital FM presenter took to Twitter to ask his followers: "How often can you reuse a towel?"

It didn't take long before all the bizarre answers started pouring in, including one from Love Island star Chris Hughes saying he waits for 'at least' a full week before throwing his towels to wash.

He wrote: "A week at least... you’re clean by the time you use it. Just clean water being dried out and ready to use again."

While some agreed with 'a week' logic, others had very concerning answers to give.

Another follower agreed: "Well, I mean isn't the towel drying off a clean body/hands etc... so is it actually getting dirty at all?"

To our surprise, one user claimed that they use the same towel 'until it starts to smell'.

But, on the total opposite side of the spectrum, some people claimed that they were washing their towels after every single shower.

"Change daily man," read one tweet, "You don’t wanna be drying your face with the same towel you’ve dried your a** with lol."

Another added: "I use a clean towel every time I have a bath or shower, same for my kids. Downstairs bathroom towel gets washed three times a week."

Kerry, 42, joined the laundry discussion and revealed that she thinks changing the sheets too often is a 'hassle'.

She addressed Roman's online debate through her weekly OK! Magazine column talking about how frequently she changes her and her family's bath towels.

The mum-of-five wrote: “Roman Kemp sparked a debate on Twitter last week after asking his followers how often they wash their bath towels. I’ll be honest, I try to get as much use out of it as I can before I chuck it in the wash.

“I live in a big house with a lot of kids, so it’s a hassle. Share the same bleeding towel, that’s what I say!”

Kerry continued: “It’s not good for the environment, or for your energy bills to keep washing them. It’s the same as bed sheets. I probably change my sheets every fortnight.”

Well this debate really made me think, should I wash my towels three days a week?
