A Royal expert has revealed Prince William and Kate Middleton's plans for the adorable puppies which featured in a recent photoshoot.
The couple received a royal backlash after sharing the picture, with animal rights organisation PETA branding them 'staggeringly out of touch'.
It comes after the Princess of Wales shared an adorable picture of Prince William for his birthday, with the future King posing alongside their English Cocker Spaniel, Orla, and three of her puppies.
Kate regularly takes sweet snaps of her family to share with adoring fans.

Elisa Allen is the Vice President of Programmes at PETA, and slammed the couple for their choice to breed their dog, saying: “The Prince and Princess of Wales should know that shelters here and worldwide are overflowing with puppies desperate for a second chance at a loving home and that churning out a litter in the midst of this animal homelessness crisis is staggeringly out of touch.
"If William is going to lead, he might well take a lesson from King Charles III and Queen Camilla, who have chosen to adopt from a shelter rather than contribute to the problem.”
According to the Daily Mail, at least one of the puppies will find a home with the royals.

King Charles and Camilla recently adopted a puppy called Moley from Battersea Dogs home,
A spokesperson for Battersea confirmed: "We’re pleased to confirm that Battersea has recently rehomed an 8-week-old Jack Russell terrier cross female puppy, called Moley, to our Patron, Her Majesty The Queen.
"The Queen has long been a supporter of Battersea’s work and has previously rehomed two rescue dogs from our charity."
Royal expert Rebecca English seemingly confirmed the plans for at least one of the puppies in her column: "[Kate] and Prince William have decided to breed from their adored spaniel, Orla. Not only has it been something fun for the children to look forward to, but I am told they are planning to keep one of the pups."

The decision is said to have delighted their three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Kate Middleton had captioned the cute picture of William and the puppies with the adorable caption which reads: "Love C, G, C, L, Orla and the puppies!"
The Royal Family are known for their love of dogs, with the late Queen Elizabeth being known for her love of corgis in particular, as well as dorgis (dachshund corgi crosses).

She left behind two corgis, Sandy and Muick, who have now been adopted by Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, a.k.a Fergie.
Fergie previously told People: "They are national icons, so every time they run chasing a squirrel, I panic, but they're total joys, and I always think that when they bark at nothing, and there's no squirrels in sight, I believe it's because the Queen is passing by."
Orla was welcomed into the family fold with Kate and William back in 2020, and was a gift from Kate's brother, James Middleton.
His dog Luna welcomed 'six little healthy pups', and he decided to give them Orla shortly before their dog Lupo died in November 2020.

Lupo was also given to the couple by James as a 'belated wedding present' in 2011, and was also a black spaniel.
