The White House has responded to the allegations that Donald Trump wrote and signed a 50th birthday letter to convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Overnight, US lawmakers released a copy of the 'birthday book' that was compiled by Epstein’s former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell back in 2003 - and it includes a note thought to be signed by the American president.
The book was put together around three years before the first damning sex-abuse allegations emerged against the criminal financier.
It was released by House Democrats after the House oversight committee received it from Epstein’s lawyers.

News of this so-called 'signed' birthday message first popped up in July, as the Wall Street Journal published what they said was written inside - however Trump vehemently denied writing it, dubbed it as ‘fake’ and laid out his intentions to ‘sue the ass off’ media mogul Rupert Murdoch, who owns the broadsheet paper.

And now, the drama has taken another turn as the book itself has been released, showing the alleged letter from Trump and its contents.
The words are written inside the silhouette of a naked woman with Trump's 'signature' scrawled at the bottom, seemingly supposed to look like pubic hair.

It was also penned in the form of a script showing a conversation between the 79-year-old Republican leader and Epstein.
The letter reads: "Voice over: There must be more to life than having everything.
"Donald: Yes there is but I won't tell you what it is.
"Jeffrey: Nor will I, since I also know what it is.

"Donald: We have certain things in common Jeffrey.
"Jeffrey: Yes we do, come to think of it.
"Donald: Enigmas never age, have you noticed that?
"Jeffrey: As a matter of fact, it was clear to me the last time I saw you.

"Donald: A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy birthday - and may every day be another wonderful secret."

The bombshell book, titled 'The first fifty years,' contains a slew of submissions, reportedly from various people connected to Epstein, including high-profile individuals.
As per The Independent, the White House have claimed it’s 'fake news' and denied the alleged letter from Trump.

The US president 'did not draw this picture, and he did not sign it,' the White House added, as reported by the BBC.
Tennessee Representative Tim Burchett also said on Monday that the note was 'forged,' before adding: "We’ve seen autopens used quite a bit."
Meanwhile, Trump's deputy chief of staff Taylor Budowich took to Twitter to share a comparison between Trump's signature at the time and the one on the card, pointing out the difference.
He wrote: "Time for @newscorp to open that checkbook, it’s not his signature. DEFAMATION!"
When the letter was first reported in July, Trump directly addressed the claim himself on his social media platform Truth Social.
He quipped: “The Wall Street Journal printed a FAKE letter, supposedly to Epstein. These are not my words, not the way I talk. Also, I don't draw pictures.
"I told Rupert Murdoch it was a Scam, that he shouldn't print this Fake Story. But he did, and now I'm going to sue his ass off, and that of his third rate newspaper. Thank you for your attention to this matter! DJT."
