Christmas time is round the corner, which only means one thing - it's time for our diets to contain significantly more turkey.

But while we still have a few weeks before we settle down for the big festive feast, we can whet our appetites with these limited-edition Turkey Twizzlers.

You can buy Turkey Twizzlers from Iceland for Christmas (
Iceland)

The former school dinner staple and retro mealtime treat is back with a vengeance this year, with Iceland now offering special edition Twizzlers flavoured with Christmas Turkey and Cranberry.

Packed with turkey, sweetened dried cranberries and herbs such as sage, rosemary and thyme, these twizzlers are the ideal accompaniment to vegetables for a perfectly balanced meal or as the ultimate Christmas party food over the festive season.

They're so tasty you may just be finding yourself choosing some twizzlers over some actual turkey on the big day.

After waiting 15 years for their hotly anticipated comeback,Turkey Twizzlers flew off Iceland's shelves earlier this summer.

The classics sold out within a week, as nostalgic customers went wild for the meaty treats from their formative years.

And the Turkey Twizzlers are available at a bargain price, for a pack of eight now available for only £3.

That's not all the festive-flavoured party food we can get excited for this Christmas.

This Brussel Sprout cake is set to be a festive favourite too (
Asda)

Asda are now offering a Brussels Sprout cake - and before you start retching at the thought, this is one sprout you'll be desperate to stock up on.

Bruce the Brussels Sprout Cake sees smiling sprout with an inside of tasty chocolate sponge.

Made with "delicious layers of moist chocolate sponge and a chocolate frosting," this cake is not only a cute addition to your table, but it promises to taste drool-worthy, too.

Now, those are the kind of greens we want alongside our Christmas dinner...
