Jimmy Kimmel has become the latest celebrity to reveal he is planning on leaving the US due to the current political climate.
The TV host has shared the news that he has applied for dual citizenship in Italy.
Talking to podcast host Sarah Silverman, Kimmel revealed: "I did get Italian citizenship."
He added: "I do have that. And what’s going on is - as bad as you thought it was going to be - it’s so much worse. It’s just unbelievable.

"I feel like it’s even worse than he would like it to be."
In recent weeks and months, Donald Trump has been putting various TV presenters in his sights, including Stephen Colbert after The Late Show was cancelled.
Trump said: "I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next! Has even less talent than Colbert!"

Kimmel previously revealed: "I have just obtained citizenship, thanks to my beloved grandmother Edith, whose family came from Candida, in the province of Avellino."
The host isn't the only celeb to share a desire to leave the United States.
Here are some of the other Hollywood stars and A-Listers who are looking to flee.
Angelina Jolie

According to People, Jolie is considering 'several locations abroad' to move to.
It comes as she has put her huge Los Angeles home on the market as well.
They say Jolie 'never wanted to live in L.A. full time', but was limited to where she could live until the divorce from Brad Pitt was finalised.
A source said Jolie 'plans to relocate as soon as Knox and Viv turn 18 next year. She's eyeing several locations abroad. She'll be very happy when she's able to leave Los Angeles.'

She bought her mansion in 2017 for a reported $24.5 million, and it was built in 1913 and previously owned by Cecil B. DeMille.
Pitt and Jolie previously owned a large property in France, which they bought for $60 million.
Her father, John Voight, is a staunch Trump supporter who celebrated his win.
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia Di Rossi

The couple moved to the UK last year.
They chose to relocate to the Cotswolds in November 2024, just as Trump took office.
DeGeneres told Richard Bacon: “Yes. We got here the day before the election and woke up to lots of texts from our friends with crying emojis, and I was like, ‘He got in.’ And we’re like, ‘We’re staying here,’” she said.
An anonymous source told The Wrap at the time of their move that Ellen and Portia will 'never return' to the US.
She told a crowd in Cheltenham that life in the UK 'is just better' and said life in the US can be 'scary for people to be who they are.'
Courtney Love

The singer revealed she is getting a British citizenship.
She also said the US is 'frightening now.'
While speaking at the Royal Geographical Society in London in March, she said: "In terms of Trump, and particularly this group... it's like emperor-core. Like, [they 're] wearing million-dollar watches.
"Emperor-core is going on at Mar-a-Lago. It's frightening now. It's like cyanide now."
“I’m really glad I’m here,” she said at the event. “It’s so great to live here. I’m finally getting my British citizenship in six months. I get to be a citizen. I’m applying, man! Can’t get rid of me!”
She has also previously praised the UK's stricter privacy laws, following her experiences in the US in the wake of Kurt Cobain's death.
Rosie O'Donnell

Comedian and actor Rosie O’Donnell moved to Ireland with her 12-year-old adopted child, Clay, who is non-binary.
They made the move back in January, just days before Trump was sworn in.
“I miss many things about life there at home and I'm trying to find a home here in this beautiful country and when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that's when we will consider coming back,” she said on TikTok.
She told the New York Times about her move to Dublin: "I never thought he would win again, but I said, ‘If he does, I’m going to move,’ and my therapist said, ‘Well, let’s make a real plan’”.
In the final weeks of Trump's campaign, she made steps to move: “I got my passport renewed, I got Clay’s passport renewed,” she said.
“My brother has his passport. All my cousins have their passports. But I was never a traveller.”
She was also asked if she could see any good in Trump, and she gave a simple answer: "None."
Eva Longoria

Desperate Housewives star Eva was the first to reveal she had left the US.
The star now divides her time between Spain and Mexico.
She told Marie Claire: “If he keeps his promises, it’s going to be a scary place.”
“I’m privileged, I get to escape and go somewhere," she confessed.
“Most Americans aren’t so lucky. They’re going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.”
However, in November she backtracked on her comments.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, during a recording of The View: Behind The Table podcast she called her co-host Ana Navarro.
When Navarro answered, Longoria pleaded: “Will you please let them know I didn’t move out of Spain because of [Donald] Trump.”
“I’ve been in Europe working for almost three years,” she explained. “By the way, the [Marie Claire] article says that. People just grabbed some clickbait stuff to be divisive, which makes me so sad, you know. Everything you say is just meant to be divisive when we can’t be that way right now.”
Navarro queried: “But you did tell me that living in Europe had been like shutting off the noise."
Eva responded insisting it was because of work: "That’s why I’m in Europe. I didn’t leave because of the political environment. I left because my work took me there.”
America Ferrera

According to the Daily Mail, the Ugly Betty star has been scouting schools in London with a view to moving.
An unnamed source close to Ferrera said she was 'sick' that Trump won and was 'completely devastated' when he won over Kamala Harris.
The Barbie actress is said to be seeking the 'best opportunities possible' and is 'prioritizing her life and focusing on the importance for her kids.'
Another source told Hello! Magazine: "It looks like she's planning to move to South West London."
"She has been checking out the local private school for her children," they continued. "She was seen [at a private school in Barnes] at the open day and appeared very happy with what she saw."
Barbra Streisand

Musical legend Barbra recently told Stephen Colbert she didn't want to stay in the US if Trump won.
"I would move. I can't live here under an administration like that."
She previously slammed Trump, telling the Guardian: “I can’t bear the man!”
“He’s a man with no manners! He doesn’t see his own flaws; he doesn’t know what he doesn’t know. You know? He has no humility," she added.
"This is a dangerous time in this nation, this republic: a man who is corrupt and indecent and is assaulting our institutions. It’s really, really frightening," she finished.
