Where to see Buck Moon this weekend as experts warn of huge changes

It can be seen across UK skies this weekend

This is where you will be able to catch a glimpse of the ‘beautiful’ Buck Moon that will appear in UK skies this weekend.

Astrologists are buckled in this weekend ahead of the Buck Moon, which is set to take place on Sunday, 21 July.

The special moon received its name as it’s a time when male deers start to grow their antlers - and is often regarded as a time for growth, regeneration and renewal.

I think we could all do with a bit of that!

But despite the fancy name, the BBC reported that the term 'Buck Moon' doesn't actually mean the moon will look any different from any other full moon of the year.

It will present itself as bright and full, and will be visible to the naked eye.

And the Buck Moon may even appear orange to some, but this will entirely depend where you are on Earth when observing it.

The BBC Sky at Night magazine reports: “When the moon is close to the horizon, it can sometimes appear rusty and red-coloured.

“Low down, the moon appears orange, and this effect is caused by sunlight bouncing off the moon and passing through Earth's atmosphere.”

So, whereabouts will you be able to catch a glimpse of the rare sight?

From the UK, the Buck Moon will rise on 21 July at around 10pm and be visible in the southeast in the constellation of Capricornus.

The moon will then work its way across the southern part of the sky throughout the night, and will eventually set in the southwest in the early hours of the morning.

Despite the excitement surrounding the full moon, one astrologer has actually issued a warning to people about what it could mean for their relationships.

Speaking on behalf of Tarotoo, celebrity astrologer Inbaal Honigman explained: “In relationships, this full moon will appear to leave them behind, because the influence and the obsession of this Buck Moon is so much more focused on wealth and success, so your partner may feel forgotten.”

But rest assured, it isn’t all doom and gloom, as Inbaal tells us that manifesting is at its strongest during the full moon.

So it might be a great time to go out into the garden with a list of wishes and meditate on them under the light of the moon.

The expert also said it might be a good time to consider making ‘ambitious career changes’, so do with that what you will!
