Woman who complained to neighbours about excessive noise left stunned at their response

Grab the tissues...

We’ve all had to navigate issues with our neighbours over the years.

Whether they have parties every weekend, their dog won’t stop barking or they won’t stop arguing, we’ve all been there.

One thing we can all agree on is the best way to deal with it is by being direct. Go straight to the source and air your complaint, and - fingers crossed - the problem can be resolved.

One woman, Martina Panchetti, tried this approach and was stunned by what followed.

Martina took to TikTok to share her experience.

Her neighbours constantly played the piano - and she found it especially annoying in the early mornings.

Deciding enough was enough, she decided to send a polite letter to her neighbours that asked for them to refrain from playing it so loudly in the mornings so she could have a little bit more sleep.

Well, the response is something she could have never predicted.

They sent a letter back and included a sticker of a cartoon globe, and - sob - it was obviously in children’s handwriting.

Nothing could have prepared us for this.

Martina then read out the letter, which said: “Dear neighbours, thank you for your kind message. We realise that sometimes we can be noisy and naughty.

"We started learning piano and our teachers tell us to practise every day but we sincerely apologise for not considering the times of the day and the weekends.

"To be honest mummy has been telling us not to play in the mornings and she also wants to get some sleep on the weekends.

“We promise YOU and we promise our mummy to try to be more considerate. Please accept our national Azeri sweets as a token of apology! Ps not nut free!"

How CUTE!

Martina then said: “They also sent their national sweets. We're in tears."

Viewers were quick to pile on the praise to the children’s politeness and praised their parents.

One person wrote: “This would make me wanna put together a sorry basket for them.”

While another said: “Let them play the piano when they want.”

And a third added: “Right then, you now owe them your life.”

Anybody got a tissue?
