We've all heard by now that navy blue bedsheets is apparently the biggest 'red flag' in a man's bedroom.

But it looks like there are other things that are also a big no no, as one guy found out when his girlfriend made it clear she was not impressed with his space.

A 26-year-old man went viral on Reddit over the weekend for declaring that his girlfriend 'hates' his room and thinks it's a 'huge red flag'.

Sharing a snap of it in the 'male living space' subreddit, he quipped: "My girlfriend hates me room. I live on my own right now and she saw my room and said it is an instant red flag."

And it's sparked quite the debate, racking up thousands of comments and making its way onto other social media platforms such as Instagram.

So, what's so wrong with this room?

Well, as you can see, it's hard to avoid the large fitness machine, which is positioned directly next to the bed, nor the giant monitor at the end of it.

Other features of the room are a large speaker, black bedsheets and a navy and red duvet. There's no sign of a poster, decoration or trinket anywhere - and people can't get over it.

One person brutally replied: "It looks like you live in a physical rehabilitation facility," while a second agreed: "I said halfway house, but that works too. Or an actual rehab, even."

And a third savagely chimed in with: "I'm a nurse and this literally looks like the depressing hell hole rehab/nursing home SNFs we have here; basically holes that people die in."

She advised: "What everyone ITT is saying: Mount the TV on the wall. Get a proper bed set with comforter (generally matching colours), move the exercise equipment to another area or room, add some warm lighting, and a wall poster/art to make it cool and inviting (and no, preferably not some cringey WWE s*** with men's faces on it looking like they're popping a haemorrhoid or some neckbeard-looking wolf and mountain pic)."

While someone else wrote: "It looks like when you're playing Animal Crossing and just randomly placed down furniture items for rooms you don't have yet."

And another person penned: "Room looks like a hostage situation between rest and self-improvement."

The viral post was also shared by Complex over on Instagram, where it got a slightly warmer response.

Others argued: "I actually love it" and "Health is wealth. Focus on you king".

Someone else quipped: "All the essentials are right there. This is iconic," while another reasoned: "For a man, I understand it. If y'all live together, no."

"His room is equivalent to a woman’s bedroom with 50 decorative pillows on the bed with a mirror, dresser and nightstand!! I love this for him protect your peace my guy!!" someone else wrote, defending him.

Others agreed: "This guy has his priorities straight. Happy for bro ngl" and "I fw this room."

Not quite sure I'm convinced...
