It's a known fact that just about every single couple has faced some kind of bedroom politics at some point or another at least once in their relationship.

No - not that kind. I'm talking about the age-old problem of divvying up the duvet as you try to get some much-needed shut-eye.

But one woman has since come to the rescue after trying out the viral Scandinavian sleep method and has even claimed it could save marriages. Check it out:

The woman, Erica Dowdy, took to TikTok to share with her 194.8k followers exactly why the Scandinavian sleep method is an 'absolute game changer' and why she '10/10' recommends it.

In the short clip, Erica began: "My husband and I love Copenhagen. We've been a bunch of times and every time we go, I'd say when I get home I'm gonna give our house a Copenhagen-inspired makeover and then life gets busy and I don't do it.

"But this time we're doing it."

Erica continued: "There are no sad beige houses in Copenhagen. They love fun colours."

The influencer then said 'goodbye' to her white sheets and opted for some snazzy new 'pink linen sheets' instead/

She opted for the luxurious linen fabric 'because they (Scandi's) always sleep with linen sheets and they are the most comfortable'.

"No top sheet," Erica continued. "Those things are absolutely useless. We're getting rid of that."

OK - now that the aesthetic side of things was all sorted, the influencer finally explained what on earth the Scandinavian sleep method was.

Erica started by replacing her bedsheets and duvets.

Erica began: "So, in Copenhagen, not once have I slept with one duvet - it is always two twins.

"And we sleep so good."

The jet-setter went on to tell her followers the nifty duvet hack meant that no one was fighting over blankets - a predicament I'm sure we've all found ourselves in at one point or another.

"Nobody's too hot or too cold," Erica explained. "It's absolutely amazing!"

As for finishing touches to the Scandi-style bedroom, the TikToker opted for a yellow duvet for some 'colour blocking' and said she had some matching yellow pillowcases on the way.

"This is just absolutely the comfiest way to sleep," Erica concluded. "I'd 10/10 recommend it - it could save marriages."

So, it seems the key to long and healthy marriage is simply having two duvets - or comforters - instead of just one.

The TikTok influencer claimed the double duvet trick could save marriages.

The TikTok has since gone viral after clocking up more than 3.7 million views on the platform since it was first posted just a few days ago.

Hundreds upon hundreds of hundreds of viewers have since rushed in to share their reactions to the marriage-saving sleep method with one TikTok user writing: "Not me realising I sleep with the Copenhagen method already and my husband and i LOVE it."

A second penned: "Once you sleep with two comforters…you will NEVER go back to only one!!!"

"My husband is from Germany and we’ve always done this," a third chimed in, "my favourite way to make the bed is to fold each twin and turn it sideways. Fits perfect."

A final TikTok user and advocate of the trend added: "We do this I didn’t know it had a name!

"I’ll never go back it’s the only way that makes sense."
