Chaos as Ring doorbell camera exposes cheating woman's secret affair

People have slammed the woman for having an affair in the house she shared with her husband

Ring doorbells are great for catching both burglars and naughty neighbours - but what if one caught your partner having an affair?

Earlier this week, a man shared how his mate's security device did just that.

Ring doorbells have a built-in camera that allows homeowners to see a live video feed of what's happening at their front door at any given moment and alerts users when it detects motion nearby.

Now, one man is calling for them to be scrapped after an affair caught on the device ended his friend's marriage.

The man took to a forum on Illicit Encounters, the UK's leading website for married people wanting to have an affair, to share what happened.

He wrote: “Anyone got one of these doorbells? Be warned as it's just put an end to my mate's marriage.

“A mystery bloke turned up on the front door and turns out his missus was playing away. It got quite ugly and can't believe how stupid she was to do it on her own doorstep.”

And, as can be expected from the illicit dating site, responses to the tale were chaotic to say the very least, blaming the woman for blurring the lines between her marriage and other relationships.

One person wrote: “Can’t ever imagine bringing an IE home, and to be honest I’d be too on tenterhooks for all the wrong reasons if I went to hers… Isn’t a different location part of the fun?”

Another commented: "I bought my wife a Ring Doorbell for her birthday, yes I'm a romantic bastard. Then thought what the f**k have I done.

"Thankfully she doesn't know one end of a drill from the other, so it's still sitting in the box waiting for me to install it."

A third simply said: "Who in their right mind plays away but does it their own home are they mad !!!!!!"

One person even called her disrespectful for having the affair in the family home, despite also being on a website for people looking to having affairs calling it 'a crossing of the line for me and shows contempt towards her husband!'

The site's sex and relationship expert, Jessica Leoni weighted in on the contentious topic.

"This case is a striking example of modern technology intersecting with the world of infidelity," she said

"The Ring doorbell, a device designed to enhance security, is inadvertently becoming a relationship disruptor. It should be common sense not to bring your affair right to your own front door, but emotions can get the best of us, leading to some questionable decisions."
