A woman who described her relationship as 'insanely happy' was 'devastated' after finding her husband had taken his own life just one day after their honeymoon.
Isabel Coles, 32, was left heartbroken when she learned that her new husband Christopher Coles had killed himself the day after arriving home from their honeymoon.
The couple got married in September 2024, after Christopher romantically proposed to her at the finishing line of his marathon.

For their honeymoon, the newly weds chose to attend a music festival in Asbury Park in New Jersey, US, but nothing could have prepared Isabel for the news she received upon returning home.
Christopher was in the military, and left the house the following morning after their honeymoon with a handgun.
He walked to a nearby forest, despite Isabel's attempts to stop him.

On 18 September, after family had looked in the forest for him, his dad was the one to heartbreakingly find his body.
Isabel said: "In the morning, he was folding laundry and things were a little weird. I asked him what was wrong, and he said 'nothing'.
"He went downstairs and tried to get out. I stood at the front door and asked what was going on.
"He got out and started heading towards the woods."

The widow added: "I ran upstairs to get shoes on and realised he had taken his handgun.
"His mum and dad came from Georgia to help look for him and his dad found him the next morning."

Prior to the tragic incident, she hadn't spotted any signs that he was struggling with his mental health.

But on Valentine's day this year, Isabel received an unexpected delivery from her late-husband.
Despite having died in September, Christopher had scheduled flowers to be delivered to his wife, as he was in the military and would have been deployed overseas at the time.
She said: "I contacted the florist and they said he ordered the flowers in September because he knew he would be deployed and travelling back around Valentine's day."
Having shared her story online, Isabel has been met with claims that she had something to do with the death of her husband.

She explained: "There are people in my life that say I had something to do with it.
"I know it's not true, my husband and I were very happy.
"No one can change that or take that away from me.
"He obviously was fighting demons and no one knew about it."
