Two baby girls' names predicted to be popular in 2026 thanks to Taylor Swift

It definitely has something to do with the pop icon's recently released album...

The topic of baby names is a fascinating one indeed.

We already know all about the 'rarest' baby names, the 'vintage' monikers which have since made a comeback and even AI's predictions of the most popular choices over the next 10 years - it's clear the subject of newborn naming is a multi-layered one indeed.

A name really is way more than just a name in this case, as certain choices can tell us heaps about what went down during a particular birth year and a generation's major pop culture influences at the time of birth.

As we get closer and closer to the end of 2025, it's interesting to think about what the babies born in 2026 may be named and what their parents may have been most influenced by when it came to making the life-long decision.

And there are two very specific baby girls' names which are now predicted to be super popular next year, thanks to none other than 35-year-old pop icon, Taylor Swift.

Now, Swifties will no doubt know all about the impact that her recently released album, The Life of a Showgirl, had on fans, the internet and the overall music scene - whether you liked it or not.

The body of work came out back in October, off the back of Taylor's mammoth Eras Tour, which came to an end in December 2024.

Oh yeah, and if that wasn't enough to keep the A-lister in the headlines, she also announced her engagement to her Kansas City Chiefs boyfriend in August.

As we say, the album was arguably one of the most eagerly anticipated releases of 2025, with Sophi Kihm, an editor at Nameberry - a website dedicated to baby names - sharing her speculation that its popularity may trickle down into the next cohort of baby name choices.

But how, you may ask?

Well, the 12-track album features two songs, which include some otherwise uncommon but nonetheless beautiful monikers.

There's track one, 'The Fate of Ophelia', as well as the penultimate track titled 'Honey'.

So, if Swifties are as crazed as they are over the A-lister's song names, they may opt to call their daughter either 'Ophelia' or 'Honey' next year.

"Ophelia and Honey will certainly get a boost," Kihm stated.

She added: "Beyond names from Swift's track titles, The Life of a Showgirl will inspire parents to embrace maximalist, extravagantly feminine names for their daughters."

According to the expert, other such 'feminine, showgirl names' include Amora, Eliora and Paloma.

All lovely choices if you ask us!
