In May of this year, when Emilie Kiser's three-year-old son Trigg tragically fell into his family pool, only his father, Brady, was home.
Despite responding officers performing CPR on the toddler after Brady made a 911 call, the youngster was subsequently placed in critical condition at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Arizona. Six days later, Trigg sadly died surrounded by his family.
According to a police report, the father-of-two had been at home with Trigg and their newborn, while Emilie was out with friends.
Though Brady claimed he'd lost sight of Trigg for 3-5 minutes while handling their son Teddy, video evidence later showed that the toddler had been 'in the backyard unsupervised for more than nine minutes, and in the water for about seven of those minutes'.
Trigg sadly drowned in May (Instagram/@emiliekiser) Police also found that Brady had been watching an NBA playoff game at the time.
"He did not accurately describe one thing [Trigg] did after he went outside," the report continued. "This leads to the conclusion that Brady was not aware of what [Trigg] was doing and was not watching him.
"The combination of these factors led to drowning, and a remedy to any of the contributing circumstances could have prevented the outcome."
In July, the Maricopa County Attorney's Office announced there was 'no likelihood' that Brady would be charged.
In the months after the tragic incident, Emilie's online followers raised queries as to where her relationship with Brady currently stood, given that he has failed to appear in any of her videos ever since.
Finally, this week, the mother-of-two addressed this speculation, revealing that the couple had spent the holiday season together in California with their nine-month-old and her extended family.
Brady featured in the background of Kiser's Christmas video (TikTok/@emiliekiser) Taking to TikTok on Sunday (28 December), Emilie detailed her Christmas plans in a clip which included Brady, vlogging herself shopping, enjoying breakfast with her siblings, and seeing a movie.
Taking to the comments of the upload, one social media user asked: "How does your family deal with your husband? Are they polite? Are they angry? What are their feelings? They probably don't even show their feelings."
A number of fans defended Kiser's other-half, with one replying: "This comment was so unnecessary - hope you all had a lovely Xmas em."
Kiser herself also responded directly to the query, letting the original user know: "My entire family loves him so so much."
She added: "If anything their unwavering love for him and Trigg, is something that has helped us so much to come together as a family."
Kiser and Brady shared two children (Instagram/@emiliekiser) After first returning to social media some months ago, the internet star claimed she takes 'full accountability' for Trigg's passing, saying: "I know I should have done more to protect him.
"One of the hardest lessons I carry is that a permanent pool fence could have saved his life, and it's something I will never overlook again.
"I hope amidst this pain, Trigg's story will help prevent other children and families from suffering the same loss."
