The UK Will Be As Hot As Ibiza This Weekend As It Basks In A Heatwave

BUZZING.

If you're thinking about hopping on a plane to make a long overdue trip to Ibiza this weekend, hold fire. Weather-wise, you might be better off staying at home.

The weather buffs at the Met Office have confirmed there's glorious weather on the way this week, peaking at a possible 29C on Saturday in the south east.

Considering the Balearic Islands are expecting just 28C on the same day (laughable, really) that means the UK could very well be hotter. Oh yessss.

Already, Brits have been getting a taste of good weather - having enjoyed a sunny weekend in many parts of the country - and it seems things are only going to get better.

Oli Claydon, a spokesperson for the Met Office, told Tyla: "As we run through the week, temperatures are getting warmer again as is a general trend up through to the weekend."

He says that on Wednesday temps in the south east could reach between 21C and 23C, while on Thursday things get warmer in easterly parts of the UK, reaching between 23C and 25C.

Things get better still on Friday - with temperatures soaring to between 26C and 28C in the same areas - but Saturday is the big one, with the Met Office guessing we'll see "between 27 and 29 degrees".

We love good weather news!

Just bear in mind we're still going through a global pandemic and it's not the best idea to plan trips to the beaches - especially after Matt Hancock warned the government will close them down if people don't respect social distancing.

The Health Secretary made the comments after thousands flocked to the beach during last month's heatwave.

But there are still plenty of other ways to enjoy the sun.

Our advice? Save some dollar on flights and Ocean Beach Club champagne sprays and set up shop in your local park instead.
