If, like us, you appreciate a good cup of coffee (or several) but aren’t a huge fan of some of the adverse side effects, such as jittery hands and the odd headache, you might have stumbled across a couple of buzzwords when it comes to all things coffee, namely adaptogens and nootropics. But what are these intriguing ingredients? And how do they affect your brew?

If you’re thinking about trying out either, one brand in particular has thousands of five-star reviews, with many saying that they wouldn’t be without their mood-boosting London Nootropics coffee now that they’ve tried it. So, here’s everything you need to know…

The mood-boosting coffee has a number of interesting ingredients.
London Nootropics

What are nootropics and adaptogens?

With the word nootropics literally being in the name of this brand, nootropics are essentially supplements which can be added to drinks and food to boost our brains. This is because they are believed to improve cognitive functions like memory, motivation and focus. And many nootropics also have adaptogenic properties.

If you’ve not heard of the phrase adaptogenic or adaptogens before, according to the brand, “adaptogens are plants, herbs and fungi that help our body and mind adapt to a wide range of stressors (physical, mental, emotional & environmental), helping us to restore balance and function at our best.”

And by combining the two it can keep stress at bay and reduce many of the negative side effects of drinking coffee. Because of this, it’s easy to see why many have swapped their regular coffee grounds for these blends.

There are three different blends to choose from.

Which blends do London Nootropics do?

Depending on what you’re looking for from your morning, midday or evening brews, there are a number of different London Nootropics blends to choose from.

The Mojo mushroom coffee blend is “designed for physical endurance, strength and vitality,” the brand affirms, while the Flow blend is great for short and long-term memory, as well as reducing brain fog and procrastination, making it ideal for that mid afternoon slump at work. And for those looking to unwind at the end of a long day, the Zen formula is the one for you.

Each 12 sachet box is priced at £15 or you can pick up a selection box containing four sachets of each of the three blends, for the same price. That might be a nice way to see which one or ones work for you before committing to a dedicated box.

Once you are familiar with the blends that London Nootropics have to offer, you can save 20% on each box simply by signing up for a subscription. This drops the price down to £12 a box, instead of the usual £15. And there are a number of subscription options available, from one box all the way through to the hamper box subscription, which includes 240 sachets.

Shoppers have swapped their usual cup of coffee for these blends.

What are customers saying?

Regardless of the specific blend, they all have plenty of glowing reviews on the brand's website.

One happy shopper explained: “I have been using these for a long time now and love them all, the taste took a little to get used to but now I just couldn’t be without them. I rarely drink normal coffee now and it has meant I drink so much less coffee than I used to, which is a good thing.”

While a second added: “Absolutely top class!! Was a tad dubious about how these would make me feel but, having been taking them for over a week I can confirm that I feel more energetic, and focused in work and they ALL taste fantastic which I was also worried about but they do just taste like coffee but each with their own unique taste…absolutely delicious!!”
