Total Solar Eclipse in Leo to impact three Zodiac signs next week

We're just days away from the skies putting on a spectacular show as a Total Solar Eclipse in Leo takes place next Wednesday (12 August).

Without getting too science-y, it's a rare event where the Moon passes directly between the Earth and the Sun, temporarily blocking out the Sun’s light and creating a dramatic display in the sky.

Now, this month’s total solar eclipse is about more than just a breathtaking celestial event, and it is apparently an important time for love, but it could put some relationships to the test...

Speaking on behalf of Heart Bingo Online, astrologer Inbaal Honigman exclusively opened up to Tyla all about this month’s special celestial event and why the eclipse marks a powerful time for new beginnings, confidence and unexpected opportunities.

"The total solar eclipse falls on the 12th of August 2026 and will help you get to places you thought were too good for you," she shares. "Whether your desires are big or small, once you’re not afraid, just imagine what you can achieve.

This month’s total solar eclipse is in Leo, so the effects will centre around themes of pride, power and confidence, 'encouraging us to pick the options that make us feel dominant'.

So, without further ado, these are the star signs that will be impacted the most by the Total Solar Eclipse.

Leo

All eyes are on you, Leo (Tyla)

"During the eclipse, both the Sun and Moon are in your sign, Leo," Inbaal says. "On top of that, Jupiter, the planet of luck, is also in Leo, while Mercury joins just a few days earlier.

"This means all eyes are on you, especially those of a boss or work collaborator. They’ll notice your talents, appreciate what they see and could make that known. Expect to hear from new people and be presented with exciting fresh opportunities."

Aries

Things may feel 'a little challenging' for Aries (Tyla)

Second on the list is none other than Aries.

Inbaal continues: "Not because of the eclipse itself, but because of what’s happening at the same time, things may feel a little challenging for Aries.

"Two planets are currently in your sign: Saturn, the planet of karma, and Neptune, the planet of dreams. Both are going retrograde during the eclipse, as well as before and after it.

"This could mean plans face delays, tickets don’t arrive on time and arrangements made well in advance don’t go quite as expected. Stay patient and remember that setbacks are only temporary."

Cancer

You could be attracting 'new admirers', Cancer (Tyla)

And last but by no means least is Cancer.

"The solar eclipse isn’t just about the Sun; it’s also about the Sun’s relationship with the Moon, and the Moon happens to be your ruling planet," the expert explains.

"Adding to this, Mars, the planet of passion, enters Cancer on the same day as the eclipse. This means you could find yourself attracting new admirers, thanks to the Moon’s influence."

However, Inbaal concludes, Mars energy can be intense, 'so make sure any new attention respects your boundaries'.
