Did we mention the wallet-friendly price tag of £19.50?

We've seen beauty advent calendars, foodie calendars fit for gourmands, and even - yes, really - Halloween advent calendars.

Now hero of the British high street Marks & Spencer's is upping the ante with a beautiful jewellery-filled advent calendar for an affordable price of £19.50.

The calendar contains 12 pieces of festive jewellery. (

No, the gingerbread lattes haven't gone to our heads. You heard right - 12 items of festive jewellery for the 12 days of Christmas, at under £20. Santa, baby, you shouldn't have.

As ever, the clever elves at M&S have come up trumps with the swish packaging. Housed in a gorgeous inky-blue box spangled with silver stars, the calendar will look a treat on any mantlepiece or sideboard.

We know what you're thinking. Enough about the presentation, what about the Yule Tide bling within?

Hidden behind the doors are two delicate link-chain necklaces dangling dinky star pendants, which come in silver and gold so that you can alternate according to your mood and outfit.

There are 10 pairs of earrings too, each a small hoop design adorned with feminine charms. Think textural gold and silver discs, hearts, wishbones and stars clusters with tiny crystals. That's our kind of Christmas countdown.

The pieces are housed in an inky-blue box patterned with silver stars. (

Oh, and did we mention that the charms are interchangeable, so that you can switch up your look? Slip multiple pendants onto one piece for a sparkle-laden finish, or strip them back for a more minimal look.

The entire range is crafted from the retailer's specially patented Skin Kind metal, which is endorsed by the British Skin Foundation. This was music to the Tyla team's ears, with several members of editorial staff suffering from base metal allergies.

Last year, Marks & Sparks' beauty calendar sold out in double-quick time.

With that in mind, we expect this sparkle-laden edition to vanish quicker than FC vanishing up the chimney.
