Whether it's how many steps we've done, how many litres of water we've guzzled or, controversially, how many calories we've consumed - it's clear that many of us love tracking parts of our daily routine.
Such individuals also regularly track their sleep cycles, but some men have taken it that next step further after finding a brand-new way of measuring their erections while they snooze.
And with the 'biohacking' and 'optimisation culture' movement we're seeing at the moment, which seems very centred on male genitalia with 'nut-maxxing', 'ball-maxxing' and 'penis-maxxing' as just a handful of examples, it was only a matter of time before blokes started what we've dubbed 'erection-maxxing' too.
According to New York-based aesthetic clinic Lushful Aesthetics, male sexual enhancement bookings are up a whopping 34%, with patient acquisition growing 43%.
Additionally, these services now account for 72% of Lushful's total 2025 revenue.

Ring-style trackers measure nocturnal erections overnight (frequency, duration, pattern) and translate them into a wellness score that men treat like their step count or glucose data.
So it's sort of like a Fitbit, but for your penis.
"It sounds fake, but the underlying science is real," the clinic explains. "Nighttime erections are one of the clearest functional readouts of cardiovascular, hormonal, and neurological health, which is exactly why the 'optimise everything' crowd has latched on."
Chris Bustamante, DNP, Founder of Lushful Aesthetics, exclusively told Tyla that erection quality is 'one of the most under-discussed indicators of men’s health'.
"For a long time, men were expected to ignore sexual health concerns until they became serious," Chris continued, adding that many men think of erections only in terms of sexual performance.

"The fact that men are becoming more interested in tracking erection quality points to a larger shift: sexual health is being treated less like a private embarrassment and more like real health data," the expert continued.
"The key is not to obsess over every change, but to recognise patterns and use them as a reason to have informed conversations with a qualified provider rather than self-diagnosing," Chris concluded.
"We see this same shift across sexual wellness and male aesthetic procedures: men are becoming more proactive about understanding their bodies, improving confidence, and addressing concerns before they become bigger issues."
