Viewers are all pointing out the same 'bizarre' detail about Nicole Kidman's new Netflix thriller.

The show, which is currently dominating the top spot on the streaming service, is a murder mystery - and it's got people hooked.

It kicks off during a wedding weekend, which ends up going drastically wrong on the eve before the big day.

The series follows Amelia Sacks (played by Eve Hewson) who is marrying Benji Winbury (Billy Howle).

Benji is part of one of Nantucket's most wealthy families, but the nuptials take a tragic turn when Amelia discovers her best friend and maid of honor dead on the beach near the family's house.

Kidman stars as Amelia's mother-in-law, Greer Garrison Winbury, who is married to Tag Winbury - played by Liev Schreiber.

After the death is discovered, the rich couple’s family become suspects in the crime.

But who committed the murder?

Although the show - called The Perfect Couple - has been hugely popular with Netflix viewers, people have been pointing out one bizarre detail - Kidman's accent.

Some were confused, with one viewer writing on X: "The way Nicole Kidman’s accent in the perfect couple is American, British and Australian all in one."

While a second said: "I can’t get over Nicole Kidman’s bizarre accent and insane wig in #ThePerfectCouple and how so many people are completely unaffected by a woman being murdered under their noses. But Dakota Fanning is hilarious."

Others were baffled by all of the accents in the series, with someone else adding: "I am unfortunately watching The Perfect Couple with Nicole Kidman on Netflix and I want to know why they're forcing the British cast to have bad American accents... why couldn't this movie be based in the UK and everyone keeps their accent?"

And another commented: "The Perfect Couple on Netflix is a perfect show. Every single person has a different accent even though they’re all supposed to be American - except for Nicole Kidman, who gets to use her real accent, and there’s also a dance sequence."

Speaking of the dance sequence, viewers were divided over that, too.

Given the pretty harrowing context of the plot, some thought it pretty bizarre that the series' opening credits scene sees the entire star-studded cast having a dance.

Turns out the cast were pretty split on it as well.

“Everyone was on that group saying they didn’t want to do this because we just didn’t understand,” Fahy told Variety.

“I actually have a really, really huge issue with learning choreography so I was very nervous about it.”

Meanwhile, Kidman said: “I didn’t feel like Greer would dance. I felt like Greer would watch.

“But I danced as Greer. I think it’s great and I’m so glad they got us all to do it. ‘Cause there’s some joy in it.”

The Perfect Couple is available to stream on Netflix now.
