Nicole Kidman was rushed to the hospital after filming a scene for her new TV show, Margo's Got Money Troubles - and not for the reason you'd expect.

The 58-year-old Australian actress is an executive producer on the new Apple TV+ comedy drama and stars as former pro wrestler-turned-lawyer, Lace.

Based on the novel by Rufi Thorpe, the TV series follows Margo (Elle Fanning), the daughter of a former Hooters waitress (Michelle Pfeiffer) and an ex-pro wrestler (Nick Offerman), who's a young mother struggling to make ends meet.

When her estranged father, Jinx, offers to help, she starts an OnlyFans account using his advice from pro wrestling.

Kidman plays an old friend of an old friend of Jinx's from their wrestling days, whom she reunites with at a fan convention with his daughter.

However, surprisingly, the reasons he had to take a trip to the hospital had nothing to do with the sport.

The Babygirl actress made her first appearance in the April 22 episode, which was also her first day of filming on set.

Her co-star Offman recalled filming the wrestling convention scene in a new interview with PEOPLE Magazine, describing it as a 'huge set piece' with 'hundreds of extras'.

The American actor, 55, told the outlet: "We're there in the morning, we're getting warmed up - some of us are going to be performing some actual wrestling, and so we have our doubles, we have people we're working with."

"And the word comes in that Nicole has the flu, and we might not get Nicole today. And we're like, 'Oh no, that's such a bummer, because we only have the one day that we've built this whole circus for.'"

He recalled: "It's about 8:00 in the morning that we get this news. Come to be about 11:00 a.m., the word comes in: Nicole's coming."

When Kidman, who underwent wrestling training before filming began, did arrive on set, Offman said she looked 'so sick'.

He said: "She was so pale, shaken. She just had the flu really, so bad."

But the show must go on, and despite struggling, she showed up and 'made sure that we got every shot of her, total superhero style, did everything we needed to so that we did not lose one scrap of what we needed for her character'.

When she wrapped up filming for the day, Kidman 'was literally taken to the hospital for an IV,' Offerman said.

He added: "And I just said to her, I already admired you so much, but this is how you get to be Nicole Kidman, is you show up so that your show doesn't lose a minute of your value. It was so generous. It was astonishing."

Tyla has contacted a representative for Kidman for comment.
