A Netflix true crime doc has been received overwhelmingly well on the platform, but you may not have watched it yet, despite it being released years ago.
There’s nothing better than getting your teeth into something that is equal parts terror, suspense, and utter shock.
Thankfully, Netflix has got you covered in that area in the form of a documentary series that came out in 2017 and went on to be given a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score of 97 percent.

Let’s be honest, this doesn’t happen often.
The seven-parter was recently spoken about on the Netflix subreddit and formally dubbed the 'best documentary' viewers had seen.
One person said: "What's the best documentary you've ever seen? Looking for must-watch documentary recommendations! Whether it's mind-blowing, inspiring, or eye-opening — drop your favourites!"
It was there that The Keepers was praised.
The show tells the story of the horrifying and mysterious unsolved murder of Sister Catherine 'Cathy' Cesnik in 1969, after having left her Baltimore apartment.
When friends didn’t hear from her, and she didn’t come home, they called the police to report her missing.
However, Cesnik wouldn’t turn up until two months later, when her body was found in a dumping area near Baltimore.
Sadly, a medical examination found that the 26-year-old's death had been caused by blunt force trauma.

According to Netflix, The Keepers 'suggests that what Cesnik was told in confidence by her students — specifically about the horrific sexual abuse they said they endured at the hands of the school’s chaplain and guidance counsellor Father Joseph Maskell — could be what led to the young nun’s still-unsolved 1969 murder'.
However, Father Maskell, who died in 2001, denied all the murder and abuse accusations made against him.
With two women who allege they were abused coming forward to the police to share that they think the nun, who was their teacher, was murdered by their abuser, the show dives into possible motives.
Online, people were quick to share their thoughts on the series, with one writing: "Netflix is a relentless producer of true-crime documentaries.
"The quality can vary greatly, but I’m not sure they’ve made one better than this still haunting 2017 series."

Another said: "One of the most spine-chilling docuseries to have come out in the recent times, and an emotional one at that."
Someone else added: "I watched it when it first came out and still think about it from time to time. One of the best I’ve ever seen."
The Keepers is available to stream on Netflix now.
