Actor Anthony Boyle’s third episode on House of Guinness has left fans immediately asking whether his NSFW scene was real, or not.
House of Guinness only dropped on Netflix last week (25 September) and many viewers have instantly been hooked by the real-life aspects of the storyline.
The eight-part series takes place in the late 1800s in Dublin and follows the famed Guinness family after the patriarch Sir Benjamin Lee Guinness passes away.

Focusing on his four kids, Netflix viewers were quick to learn about the dark secrets they've all been hiding as they attempt to keep the Guinness family in a good light.
It also tells the tale of how the brewery comes to be one of the biggest distilleries in the world.
Already, the show has garnered a lot of attention, and some criticism.

For example, some of its stars have been accused of having 'iPhone face' and have been questions as to why they were cast in a historical period drama.
To be honest, how can you dare to say that about Derry’s favourite bad boy David Donnelly?
The man screams of having been brought up on Duggan's bakery goods and Mauds ice-cream in Northern Ireland and not being stuck with his nose in his phone.
Anyway, there’s actually another reason I mention him... namely due to his NSFW scene that had people (and me) peeking behind their hands after seeing the infamous barrel bath scene in all its glory.

But fans want to know if it was helped by the use of prosthetics.
From Reddit to Threads, those who saw him get out of that bath naked, and having their eyes drawn immediately downwards to that thing swinging about, were perplexed.
One person asked: “3rd episode Anthony Boyle is that a prosthetic or no? Inquiring minds needs to know.”

Another queried: “Was that Anthony Boyles real (ahem) 'lad' in that scene where he was getting out of the bath, or was it a prosthetic?
“If he didn't get the part of Arthur, he could have played one of the horses pulling a wagon of barrels.”
Someone else simply said: “Is it real or prosthetic?”

A user was quick to point out that it’s probably a fake penis, stating: “I bet it isn’t real. If it is, DAMN.”
Obviously, while ‘male full frontal’ is normal on screen, someone determined that the 'FULL frontal’ was clearly the work of the costume department thanks to modern tools and even the actor’s comfortability levels.
Someone shared: “I'm pretty sure it was a prosthetic. I think most penises on screen these days are fake. It's too bad because women have often had to do full frontal nudity and now that it has become more common for men, the actors don't have to actually reveal their true self.”
While some are fine with it, others may not be.
For example, in Netflix’s Monsters, Cooper Koch admitted that he decided against a fake penis for his shower scene, stating that it was a personal choice.
Speaking on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Koch revealed: "Also just to say mine was not a prosthetic."
"Well, that was going to be my next question," Cohen responded and then told the actor: "You're very blessed, aren't you?"
Koch then quipped: "Well hung."
Boyle has yet to respond about whether or not it’s fake, so let's wait until then to find out.
