This year's Strictly Come Dancing festivities have finally come to an end after Ellie Leach was crowned winner of the series.

The 22-year-old Coronation Street star took home the trophy on Saturday night (16 December) alongside her dance partner, Vito Coppola, 31.

Since then, the pair have finally opened up about the nature of their relationship and addressed their 'intense chemistry' and the rumoured 'romance' between them. Have a look:

Vito and Ellie performed three dances during the final; an American Smooth to Robbie Williams' rendition of 'Ain't That a Kick in the Head?', a Jennifer Lopez megamix Showdance, and a Paso Doble to 'Insomnia' by Faithless.

The Strictly winners sat on the This Morning sofa today (18 December) where they spoke to ITV's Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle to discuss how they were feeling post-win.

"It's so intense in there and you're in that bubble training so much. How do you just suddenly stop? How do you do it?" Craig asked the pair.

Ellie replied: "I don't know how I'm going to feel. This morning I woke up and was like 'Oh, I don't have training anymore'."

Vito then cut in, joking: "Don't worry, I'm going to call you, we can make a warm up," to which Ellie responded: "I'm trying to have a break over Christmas and he'll be ringing me, like 'Hiya, do you want to warm up now, we can do a few moves'."

"We're never going to stop," the professional dancer continued, "we're going to keep dancing."

Clearly getting to what many viewers have been dying to know for the past 13 fun-fuelled weeks of salsas, tangos and Viennese Waltzs, Josie popped the question: "I've got to ask because the chemistry between you is magic. We've seen you on that dance floor and it was so beautiful to watch. Is there any romance between you guys?

"Is the rumours true or not?"

Laughing, the Corrie star explained: "Honestly, we've just been having the most amazing time dancing and we've built a really strong bond and a friendship that will last forever."

"We have a really beautiful bond, a good bond," Vito added. "When you see a person and you connect with a person straight away.

"I'm a very first impression and when we met, we had that feeling that we knew each other for so long.

"I'm so so lucky to have you in my life."

Craig, however, didn't seem too convinced, saying: "There's 100 per cent romance, 100 per cent...I can see it," to which Ellie and Vito assured 'No, no'.

Ellie resolved: "We've been through so much together, we've spent everyday together for the past three months. So we're really, really lucky to have that bond that we've got and we'll be friends for life."

How adorable.
