Selling Sunset's Heather Rae El Moussa has said it's a 'blessing' she hasn't been asked to return after calling out the show.

The Netflix star, who last appeared on season six of the show, recently sat down on the HIM & HER SHOW where she opened up about her experience on the reality TV programme.

The 36-year-old realtor began by asking: "How juicy can we get?"

She carried on: "In the beginning it was just all like fun. No crazy drama. It was just we're all friends. Like any drama was just - it was just so simple.

"And then it just got worse and worse and worse."

Heather went on to reveal that things soon 'became out of control', adding: "There'd be days I came home to him [her husband, Tarek El Moussa] like crying from the stress of filming."

She explained: "You film it, you go through it. Then the show comes out you have to watch it and then deal with all the stress again and then you have to hear from all the fans.

"You get attacked for almost everything you do because the fans are so vocal and on social media.

"You're going through the stress and you're filming and then you get a little break and then it comes out and you go through it again."

However, Heather did note that some of the women in the show are still her 'really close friends'.

"So that was a really positive that I took away from it," she pointed.

Opening up about not being asked to return for the next season after going off for maternity leave, Heather went on: "It was a blessing that I wasn't asked to come back because I'm so much happier filming my show with Tarek."

Speaking about Selling Sunset, Heather claimed: "I never knew when I was going to be filming, it was last minute.

"It took over my life, it was hard to do my real job, real estate was hard to do anything else and I was away from him [Tarek] all the time, I was away from our kids all the time."

She added: "So it was pretty brutal.

"It's very toxic."

Heather had previously been involved in all six seasons of the programme, however, before the latest season's release date was confirmed, the star claimed that she had not been asked back for filming following her maternity leave.

"Season seven is filming right now, but I've been off [on] maternity leave and I've been excited to get back to work, and so far I have not been called back," she said on E! News. "It's been a little frustrating. So [I'm] not sure what's been going on."

Selling Sunset is currently available to stream on Netflix.
