Chrishell Stause has issued a heartbreaking statement confirming she’s quitting Selling Sunset.
The 44-year-old reality TV star, who has starred on the hit Netflix series since 2019, has opened up about the reason for her shock departure.
Speaking to Bustle in an interview published today (7 November), Chrishell explained to fans: "I’ve vacillated back and forth with this decision in the past. I have to be honest - having come from nothing, it’s really hard to turn something like this down."
She continued: "I’ve gotten to a place where I don’t need the show financially.

"I’m lucky to have other forms of employment, because it’s no longer good for my mental health."

The fan-favourite went on to note that she had no idea whether the chaos-filled TV programme would return for more seasons following the upcoming 10th season.
"If they do continue, I wish them the best. If they do do another one, by then, I may not watch it. I don’t know. But I have no ill will toward the show," she added.
"The show has given me so many opportunities, and I don’t want to be bitter about it, even though I’m leaving not in the way that I would’ve loved."
Reflecting on her six years starring in the show, Chrishell continued: "I think, after so many hours, I felt like, 'Sit here, get through it. You’re not a quitter, but you never have to do this again.'"
Elsewhere in the Bustle interview, Chrishell commented on the decision of producers to edit out some things that would have 'vindicated' her.

"I get it, they want to make a light show. And if I were doing a show with less problematic people, I can totally see their point," she said, later adding, "there are so many things that would’ve completely vindicated me and my opinion, and they left all of it out."
The socialite previously hinted at her potential exit from the series in an interview with Variety, which was published late last month (31 October).
"The reunion was so brutal," she told the outlet. "In that moment, I realised I will be done here going forward. I wish everyone the best, but this isn’t the place for me. It felt a little bit like a dog pile."
The future of Selling Sunset is unclear as the streaming giant has yet to renew the series for a 10th season.
All nine seasons of Selling Sunset are currently available to stream on Netflix.
