Married At First Sight UK fans have worked out exactly why new groom Ryan Livesey looks so familiar.

Now, for some of this year's contestants it's not their first reality TV rodeo after clocking them on other TV shows in the past.

We already know all about bride Lacey and her family's appearance on Dress to Impress back in 2020 as well as Sacha's 2022 stint on Beauty and The Geek, but the latest buzz is all about why MAFS UK viewers seem to recognise Ryan so much.

The former semi-professional footballer turned bin man, who hails from Manchester, was coupled up with Glasgow make-up artist, Sionainn Carmichael.

Things weren't off to a good start when Sionainn finally rocked up to the altar only to turn to her family and friends and ask: "What am I doing, guys?"

She then confessed: "I'm feeling dead overwhelmed. I'm scared and want to run away.

"I feel like this is a massive mistake."

Ryan said he was looking to find a 'down to earth, grounded wife' who has 'manners and respect for others'.

He added: "My parents would love me to be with someone that’s just honest in themselves and not bigger than who they are."

Before meeting his bride, the hopeful groom opened up about his previous health battle after being diagnosed with bladder cancer back in 2017.

He candidly told Channel 4 viewers that his cancer 'could come back', and it's just 'something he has to live with'.

It seems like viewers instantly fell in love with the 28-year-old with many running to his social media to praise his good looks.

"So handsome," wrote one Instagram user.

A second quipped: "Erm... I need my bins taking out."

"I wished it was me that married you," revealed a third.

Alongside the avalanche of compliments thrown his way, it's clear that viewers couldn't help but share their discovery over the alleged uncanniness between Ryan and one of Hollywood's biggest stars - Channing Tatum.

One X user gushed: "Oh my goodness - Ryan's eyes are beautiful. He reminds me of Channing Tatum."

"Ryan is the British Channing Tatum," chirped a second, while a third piped up: "Can’t believe they got Channing Tatum on, only to put him with someone so judgemental."

Another echoed: "Channing Tatum crossed with a young John Travolta! Can anyone else see this??"

And a final X user posted a side-by-side snap of Ryan and the Step Up star adding: "Anyone else see this?!"

Well, it would appear they most definitely have.

Married at First Sight UK airs every Monday to Thursday at 9.00pm on E4.
