Married at First Sight UK star Sacha Jones has spoken out on her relationship with her dad after Monday’s episode.

Sacha has faced a few roadblocks in the last couple of weeks after being paired with Ross McCarthy - with the ongoing issue at play is where they should move.

As the home stay week continued on Monday (4 November), Sacha invited Ross to visit her family in Walsall.

Ross is currently based in Manchester, which is also where his young daughter, Blue, lives.

MAFS UK star Sacha also wants to remain close to her family, as she is concerned about not having a support network if she were moves up north.

Viewers previously watched when Ross met Sacha’s parents for the first time, with some raising their concerns at Sacha seemingly prioritising her father’s opinion over her own.

Bryn, Sacha's dad, previously said on the day he met his future son-in-law: "It's important for me to speak to Ross because I want to know how he's going to look after my little girl. Sacha is really important to me, so Ross needs to impress me today, really."

Some viewers pointed out that Walsall and Manchester are fairly close to each other, with one fan on X (formerly Twitter) writing: “For a bit of context, Walsall and Manchester are a 1hr 40mins drive apart - I drive 1 hr 20 mins (each way) to work, twice a week. It’s really not the dealbreaker they are making it out to be!"

A second viewer shared: "Get a grip, it’s literally down the road… it’s not another country Sasha!!!"

Meanwhile, a third wrote: “Being from the North of Scotland, I thought the distances Ross and Sacha were talking about were enormous!"

"Then I Googled it and realised Manchester and Walsall are a 1 hr 40 min drive apart! That is absolutely nothing!"

Sacha has now shared her response after the episode aired in a bid to provide more context to the situation.

Speaking to her fans on Instagram, she said she no longer looks at comments.

She went on to add: “I’ve lived in Spain, I don’t have trouble being away from my parents, I don’t live with my parents.

“The issue was, please make sure you heard it, Ross’ temper… also at the end of the episode you hear me say because of some of Ross’ behaviours during arguments sometimes, I don’t want to move to Manchester.

“It was more having my support network there if something went west with me and Ross.”

She continued: ‘I’m just covering my back right here and right now’, after mentioning that not everything ‘makes the cut’ at the commitment ceremony episode.

Sacha added that it was 'never about being away from her family'.
