Married at First Sight UK star Alex Henry has shared some words of praise he got from a famous TV star following his controversial antics on the show.

Alex, who’s partnered with Holly Ditchfield on the Channel 4 marriage experiment, has earned a reputation for his comments on the show, with many viewers slamming his ‘misogynistic’ remarks.

During a pretty dramatic commitment ceremony on MAFS, Alex and fellow reality star Sacha Jones had a heated exchange when she tried to defend her female pals on the show.

Alex branded Lacey Martin ‘a snake’ for spilling the beans on Hannah Norburn and Orson Nurse kissing amid their relationship woes with their respective matches, Stephen Nolson and Richelle Cade.

Alex also called out Richelle for ‘talking s**t’ after she claimed that Orson and Hannah had a double date with Alex and Holly prior to the ceremony.

Sacha intervened, urging Alex to address things ‘calmly’ and noticing a 'pattern' in his behaviour toward women.

While most fans seemed to side with Sacha, and continued to do so when things escalated further during the cast’s retreat in a subsequent episode, Alex appeared to have found a mystery ally.

Taking to Instagram, Alex shared a screengrab of messages he’s exchanged with an undisclosed TV star.

"This message is from someone you've seen on your TV before,” Alex captioned the image.

"U are an absolute Bad Man,” the unnamed person said.

"TV will NEVER have another Alex,” they continued, with Alex proudly claiming the title of ‘E4's BAD BOY’ for himself and adding a devil emoji for good measure.

During the commitment ceremony, Alex sure earned that definition, according to Sacha at least.

"Don't do that to me Alex, I don't think you need to turn to Richelle and say 'you're talking f*cking sh*t' and turn to Lacey and say 'you're a snake', there's certain ways of addressing things calmly," she said.

"You don't need to attack, attack, attack. I've sat here and watched you attack the women either end and it's f*cking me off because I didn't like it Alex,” she continued.

Later on, Alex told the cameras he would be telling Sacha to ‘pipe down’ if he were her husband Ross McCarthy.

In his solo interview, Alex said: "Holly's annoyed, I've told Lacey that I think she's a snake and now you've got Sasha coming at me, just be quiet, your voice is going straight through me."

He added: ”If I was Ross, I would be telling my wife to pipe down, not everything needs your two pence."

Married at First Sight UK airs every Monday to Thursday at 9pm on E4.
