MAFS UK viewers were left confused over Kieran Chapman's behaviour during Monday's (28 October) commitment ceremony.

It's been a tough few weeks for Kieran and wife, Kristina Goodsell.

Although the pair seemed like the ideal match at first, they've recently been struggling with their connection, after Kieran admitted his feelings about Kristina's struggle with pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).

At last week's commitment ceremony, Kieran confessed: "This is going to be hard to hear. I think it's something you've probably heard before, and I really don't want to be the guy that says it.

"I'm really questioning at the minute if I'm able to sustain a relationship with someone that suffers with PMDD."

Of course, this was a blow to Kristina, but the pair wrote 'stay' and continued on with another week.

However, at this week's commitment ceremony, Kieran still seemed to be struggling with his feelings.

"At the last commitment ceremony, I explained how the PMDD was affecting me," he said.

"But I've since realised that there's underlying areas where we're not similar that are important to me.

"I asked you the other day, didn't I? What's more important; finding a husband or pursuing something that you're really passionate about?

"She said finding a husband and I went, 'This is why we're very different'."

In response, Kristina explained: "Coming in here from day one, I wanted to build a new life wherever that took me."

Kieran then explained he felt 'petrified' adding: "Which I guess I can feel the pressure of.

"For someone to be ready to leave where she's from and almost move straight away, that's scary. It's just getting scary.

"I came into this wanting to find a wife who I can spend the rest of my life with. But I'm petrified."

Viewers watching at home weren't impressed with Kieran's comments, with one writing on X: "I liked Kieran to begin with, he gave the big ‘oh I can deal with your PMDD because I really like you etc’ now he’s like ‘I’m petrified that my wife wants a life with me’."

While another said: "Is there things we haven’t seen with Kieran and Kristina because where has all this come from?!"

And a third added: "Kieran has 100% checked out of this with Kristina as well I think. It’s sad but you can see he’s just looking for a reason to leave now rather than for reasons to stay."

While a fourth commented: "I can’t figure out what’s changed his mind, they seemed really into each other at the start and still seem to get on well. He must have seen something he doesn’t like!"

Both Kristina and Kieran chose to stay for another week, with Kieran explaining he would try his best to make the relationship work.
