MAFS UK star Caspar responds to rumours he’s now dating Adam’s wife Polly

While Married At First Sight fans are hardly surprised anymore to see couples chopping and changing partners, some viewers were blindsided this week by the possibility that ex-contestant Caspar and current star Polly could be together.

Despite not being paired up with one another on the show, some Channel 4 viewers claimed to have sensed a spark between the duo during Caspar's final appearances.

For those out of the loop with the hit reality experiment's recent events, last week, we bid adieu to Caspar Todd and Emma Barnes after the pair's rocky romance reached boiling point.

A teary-eyed exit followed weeks of confrontations for the couple, with Emma having been left to battle Caspar's lack of attraction towards her from the moment the two tied the knot back in September.

Fans initially branded his failure to provide Emma with any intimacy 'disgraceful', and though he attempted to win them back over by throwing himself into challenges set by the show's resident dating experts, he left viewers shocked last month by discussing his 'next girlfriend' in front of his 'wife'.

"Even if Emma and I don’t make it work," he began. "There are things I need to learn about how I can build intimacy and gain more comfort quicker so that whoever I might be dating doesn’t think he’s standing off he doesn’t fancy me.

"But I need to learn how to do this for a future relationship."

Naturally, Caspar's remarks didn't go down too well with Emma, and despite having given their relationship their best shot in recent weeks, the duo called things off for good last week.

Prior to their emotional departure, however, the couple were asked about who they'd like to be paired up with for the series' annual 'wife swap' week, with Caspar admitting he'd prefer to spend some time with co-star Polly Sellman - who herself is married to Adam Valentine.

Now, with Caspar off our screens, fans have been left wondering whether he has since found romance off the back of the show, with many suggesting he and Polly got it on - despite her still being romantically involved with Adam on the ongoing, pre-recorded series.

Asked in an Instagram Q&A, 'Are you with Polly yet?', the ex-MAFS UK star finally addressed the potential romance.

Insisting that the duo were definitely not together, Caspar clarified: "I said Polly for 'Wife Swap' week because I’d had a really good week with her, when I was getting my hair cut by Adam.

"And I thought I’d have a really fun time with her, so that’s why I said Polly."

Caspar then went on to confirm: "[But] no, Polly and I are not together, she’s a lovely girl but I think she would agree we wouldn’t be a great match together."

His latest upload was also reposted by Polly, who added it to her own Instagram Story, noting: "We’re chalk and cheese aren’t we my love?"

Despite the supposed clarity, we now can't help but wonder whether the pair's lack of mention of Adam implies that he and Polly possibly aren't together...
