Married at First Sight UK viewers are all saying the same thing after Emma and Caspar finally decided to call time on their marriage last night.

Now, as Channel 4 viewers know all too well, the former couple haven't had an easy ride with things immediately off to a less-than-fairytale start from the get-go.

And it only got worse when Caspar shocked fans of the programme due to his 'disgraceful' behaviour towards her.

However, public opinion on the groom seemed to swing back and fourth after viewers at home rushed in to defend him after he backed Charlie when Polly came for her a few weeks back.

But the pendulum seems to be against Caspar once again following his remarks made last week, after the pair were instructed by expert Charlene to do a 'melting hug' as part of an intimacy exercise.

Following the exercise, Caspar said: "Even if Emma and I don’t make it work, there are things I need to learn about how I can build intimacy and gain more comfort quicker so that whoever I might be dating doesn’t think 'he’s standing off, he doesn’t fancy me', but I need to learn how to do this for a future relationship."

But it seems like the pair have finally called it quits and opted to leave the experiment in last night's episode (28 October).

Take a look at their departure below:

Explaining his decision, Caspar told Mel: "It's a frustration born out of the fact that we wanted what these guys have. Both of us wanted that and we feel sad because we came here for love.

"Emma's fantastic in a lot of ways, but there are things that I need."

Mel then asked: "What do you need?"

"I need someone to need me more than Emma would ever need me," Caspar candidly replied. "She's a very strong, independent woman."

Mel then asked Emma if she could give Caspar 'what he needs'.

Welling up, Emma responded: "Oh, I'm gonna cry. I need to be more emotionally vulnerable and I can be in the right situations, I can.

"I need to be loved in order to love."

She resolved: "I do think that every man and woman deserves to be treated like a king or queen in their relationships, and we just can't give back to each other, but we deserve it, and we'll get it."

After watching the pair leave the show, MAFS UK fans rushed to social media to share their thoughts and they all seemed to be in unison over their exit, wishing the couple well in their next chapter apart.

One Instagram user declared: "Emma deserves her King and I so hope he is just around the corner for her."

"Emma is truly wonderful. She deserves true happiness," offered a second, while a third lamented: "Yeah she was too good for him bless her. His loss. She really tried."

"Sadly it was beyond time for them to leave," wrote a fourth.

A fifth praised: "I actually think these two have grown so much and been brilliant. I really hope they find what they deserve."

"It was so sad to watch her cry but it was the right decision for both," echoed another. "Hope Emma finds a strong man to let her be herself and hope Caspar finds the woman he needs."

And a final Instagram user added: "He was honest from day one. Emma tried to squeeze something from him that he just was not feeling.

"He’s not to blame. They just are not a match. Both lovely people.. but not each others 'person'."

Married at First Sight UK airs every Monday to Thursday at 9.00pm on E4.
