Love Island viewers can’t stop talking about contestant Ellie Chadwick’s handbags and what could possibly be inside them.
The 24-year-old from Scotland has gone viral this week after the 13th season of the ITV dating show returned to our screens.
She entered the villa as an OG, coupling up with Aidan Murphy before being brutally dumped by bombshells Yasmin Hadlow and George Knight. Though all was not as it seemed, as Ellie and fellow dumpee, Samraj Toor, were soon told their time was far from over and brought back in a dramatic twist.
Amid all the drama, fans have been quick to notice one thing about Ellie - she always seems to have a handbag with her.

Despite Love Island being on our screens since 2015, this appears to be the first time we’ve ever seen an islander walk around the iconic villa with the accessory.
And it’s not just one bag either. Viewers have spotted Ellie sporting a small cream shoulder bag and a Prada basket bag.
People think Ellie’s accessories are hilarious, with one person on X asking: “What is Ellie carrying in her bags pls I need to know. I have NEVER seen an islander cut about the villa with a bag before.”
Someone else said: “Can tell you right now that there’s nothing in Ellie’s bag. What is she carrying it around for?”
Another viewer wrote on Reddit: “Honestly makes me giggle and it always matches her outfit.”
“We need a ‘what’s in my bag’” said one fan, in reference to the Vogue series.
Some fans speculated that the bags might be used to carry medical equipment, such as an inhaler or an EpiPen, however, Ellie’s friend reportedly confirmed that this is not the case.
On the other side of the coin, some viewers think the bags could hold make-up.
One person commented: “She’s so cutesy!!! I would definitely carry my lip combo and power around in a cute purse around the villa. F having to go back to the dressing room.”
Demi from Love Island season six has shared her theory about the bags in a TikTok post.
She claimed Ellie could be carrying her lip combo because islanders apparently aren’t allowed to leave make-up around the villa. Instead, they’d have to return to the dressing room - which sounds like a huge inconvenience.
You may think that the islanders don’t have much else to do, but think about all the chats and kissing and drinking from the water bottles they do.
It all makes sense!
