We're nearly in the month of December and, with it, we're that one bit closer to enjoying all of our favourite festive pastimes.

Whether it's perusing our local Christmas market, chugging down mulled wine, frantically present-buying, decorating your home in tinsel and baubles, or simply cosying up to watch one of your favourite holiday films - it's clear that many of us love nothing more than preparing ourselves for the big day.

And, up there with Home Alone, The Holiday, and The Grinch, is none other than Love Actually - AKA everyone's favourite noughties rom-com, which makes for the perfect Crimbo viewing material.

The film, which first graced our screens and warmed our hearts back in 2003, has cemented itself as one of the go-to things to have on the telly in the run-up to, during and after the big day.

It features a pretty star-studded cast including Andrew Lincoln, Keira Knightley, Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson, Bill Nighy, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Hugh Grant and a very fresh-faced Thomas Brodie-Sangster who was just 13 when he starred as Sam, a young boy who is grieving for his mother after her death while also navigating a new-found love for one of his classmates.

And now, after 22 years, the now-35-year-old Love Actually star has recreated one of the movie's most iconic moments, and he’s hardly changed at all!

Take a look:

Brodie-Sangster made an appearance on Google Pixel's ongoing seasonal campaign in a minute-long ad, which shows him wandering through the streets of London.

The advert begins with a wide shot of The Maze Runner actor sitting on London's South Bank, enjoying the view of the River Thames with St Paul's Cathedral in the background.

Addressing the camera, he says: "This is it, this is where we filmed Love Actually. I like to come back here once or twice or... 20-odd times each Christmas just to give something back to the fans and I get recognised a lot."

Brodie-Sangster then turns to a woman who appears to recognise him as she beams, 'No way!' before getting out her phone to take a snap.

As he turns to strike a pose, she zooms past him to a bridge in the distance, gushing: "Awww, Lily's a lobster!"

In case you need your Love Actually trivia knowledge refreshed, this is a nod to the infamous nativity lobster costume worn by one of Emma Thompson's on-screen children.

"I really do this all for my fans… here we go again," the actor boasts, as he poses for another passer by with only the viewer realising they're zooming in on a man in the background recreating Hugh Grant's iconic Prime Minister dance to 'Jump' by The Pointer Sisters.

"Everyone loves a drumming scene," Brodie-Sangster says while playing out a beat on a set of riverside drums.

"Look! It's the actor from Love Actually," quips a young man.

However, once again, the individual actually turns out to be pointing at Brodie-Sangster's Love Actually co-star Martine McCutcheon - AKA Natalie - as she drops her popcorn behind him.

Continuing to obliviously dream away, he jokes: "Ah, that's getting posted immediately. Probably go viral."

Talk about a blast from the past!
