I’m A Celebrity viewers shocked after discovering Jamie Lynn Spears’ age

Britney Spears was nine when her little sister was born

It's official: I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! is FINALLY back on our screens for a brand new, uber star-studded, 2023 series.

ITV received heaps of praise for the incredible line-up - which includes First Dates heartthrob Fred Siriex, controversial Brexit frontman Nigel Farage and This Morning's loveable presenter Josie Gibson.

And arguably, one of the most shocking additions to the big-name group is none other than US-born singer and actress Jamie Lynn Spears.

Now, for those who maybe didn't grow up watching Zoey 101 on Nickelodeon, Jamie Lynn is also known for another trait of hers...

Being that she's actually the little sister of multi-million dollar, platinum-selling artist Britney Spears.

The 'Toxic' singer was nine-years-old when her parents welcomed her younger sister, who went on to follow in her footsteps.

In fact, one of the most hotly-discussed topics during last night's I'm A Celeb premier was mum-of-two Jamie Lynn's age, with many not able to believe how old she really is.

She's actually 32-years-old - though many fans of the show expressed their shock on X last night, being that Jamie and Britney, 41, don't look too dissimilar in age.

"Jamie Lynn is only 32, she looks the same age as her sister, if not older," one tweeted in shock.

Another wrote: "Just had to google the age of Jamie Lynn Spears because I swear she was similar age to me, and she is. #ImACeleb".

"Can't believe Jamie Lynn spears is only 32!" a third admitted.

While many viewers expected the ITV star to open up about her relationship with her sister - or at least mention her name - Jamie Lynn failed to bring her up once.

Even when prompted by ITV presenter Josie - who asked about her 'musical family' - Jamie kept her lips sealed.

Asked how she became involved in the entertainment industry, instead of addressing Britney's global multi-million dollar success, Jamie Lynn mentioned their mum, Lynn.

"I've always kind of been into music," she candidly revealed. "Writing and singing. My mother played the piano a lot."

The pair are not believed to be on speaking terms at the moment, following the termination of Britney's controversial conservatorship, which sister Jamie Lynn allegedly supported.

In the months following its end, the siblings both released best-selling novels about their lives, making several pointed remarks about one another.

Whether Jamie Lynn opts to mention her mega-star sister on the show, only time will tell...
