Eminem gives epic response to claim that nothing rhymes with ‘silver’

The rapper showed fans exactly why he's called the Rap God

Eminem shocked fans when he - once again - proved he can make anything rhyme.

The rapping legend has been spitting bars for decades now, and if you thought anything like word composition was going to get in the way of rhyming, you’d be sorely wrong.

The aptly named rap God was recently challenged on X by a social media user and boy did he deliver.

The real Slim Shady was called out last week when Uber Eats posted an image which stated that there’s nothing on Earth that can rhyme with silver.

Then, the Rock The Bells account wrote to the rapper: “@Eminem you have 24 hours!”

Well, it didn’t take Eminem, real name Marshal Mathers, long to reply, and what he said next shocked the whole internet into silence.

Before you see it… have a think of what could possibly rhyme with silver.

Nothing? I didn’t think so.

Now, see what Eminem came up with: “Silver pilfer kill fer Gilbert's still hurts steel shirts Bill Burr milf word off kilter no filter chill brrrr feel burn still slur will stir Trent dilfer Val kilmer Still third shield her he'll squirt Steven Spielberg Lil twerp Wilshire She'll purr Kill birds milk curd feel worth Real nerd Stans documentary I liked your film sir.”

People online were probably holding their heads to keep it from exploding.

One person wrote: “Bro's a walking dictionary.”

Another said: “My goat can make anything rhyme.”

Someone else said: “Rap God ain’t just a song title. There will never be another quite like Eminem!”

Proving why there's a reason he's known to so many as the 'Rap God,' Eminem has a very simple way he can make absolutely anything rhyme.

While it’s not what you’d expect, he once took the world 'orange' in an interview with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes in 2011, and turned it into a short rap.

Again, orange has long been thought to be something that nothing can rhyme with, but Eminem’s approach to word composition shows that it can be done.

Instead of desperately Googling words which sound like the word orange, Eminem said if you take the focus off 'orange' and place it on other words, then you can make anything rhyme.

He said: "The word orange doesn’t rhyme with anything, and it kind of p****s me off because I can think of a lot of things that rhyme with orange.

“If you’re taking the word at face value, and you just say ‘orange’, nothing is going to rhyme with it exactly.

“If you enunciate it and make it more than one syllable, or-ange, you can say, like, I put my or-ange, four inch, door hinge in stor-age and ate porr-idge with Geo-rge."

Eminem fans couldn’t believe it when the clip resurfaced online.

One X user said: "One of the best rappers of all time."

Another echoed: "Eminem is and always will be a lyrical genius. The best ever."

A third added: "GOAT for a reason!"

And a final said: "Eminem's linguistic agility never fails to amaze! The way he bends words to his will and finds rhymes where most can't, like with 'orange' shows his genius in full flow. Language is a playground for this guy, and watching him at work is a masterclass in creativity with words."
