Lorraine Kelly has been slammed by viewers over her comments on I’m a Celebrity star Nigel Farage, who people say was ‘body-shamed’ by the ITV presenter.

Find out what she had to say about him below:

Nigel, 59, is among the line-up for this year’s I’m a Celebrity, having headed into the jungle alongside the likes of Jamie-Lynn Spears, Josie Gibson, Fred Sirieix, Sam Thompson, Nick Pickard, Nella Rose, Danielle Harold, Marvin Humes and Grace Dent.

In last night’s episode, we saw him strip off to take a shower – a moment that not only took viewers by surprise, but also those in camp, too.

He left Josie visibly shocked, as she said to the camera: "I wasn't expecting to see Nigel Farage's bottom. I've seen worse."

She then quickly added with a laugh: "No I haven't! Fair play to him. He's not shy, he gets on in there. At least he's clean."

Ant McPartlin also joked the sight was ‘burned into’ his brain, saying: “Wow, wow, wow.”

Lorraine Kelly talked about the moment he bared all in this morning's episode of her flagship show Lorraine, saying she found it ‘traumatising’.

After finding out he was 59, while talking to Edwina Currie and Lucie Cave, she said: “Is he only 59??! I thought he was a hell of a lot older than that.

“That is astonishing. You get the face you deserve thankfully. You really do.”

But many of her viewers went on to slam her comments, calling on her to 'do better'.

One tweeted: “I guess body shaming men is fine isn’t it #Lorraine until a woman’s weight is mentioned. S**thouse.”

Her face says it all.

Someone else said: “Discussing @Nigel_Farage on @lorraine regarding his looks, his body and his age. If that were 2 men discussing a woman in the same distasteful way there would be an uproar! Do better @lorraine.”

However, some found the remarks hilarious, with one saying it was ‘one of the best things’ they’d ever heard her say.

“Thank you for this little gem Lorraine… always telling it like it is,” one viewer told her.

Someone else added: "@reallorraine talking about Nigel Farage on #ImACeleb 'He's only 59! Well in life, you get the face you deserve'. Pure dead brilliant Lorraine."

Tyla has reached out to Lorraine for comment.
