I'm a Celeb's Matt Hancock says 'I love you' as he 'recreates scandal picture' with Gina

The MP was first pictured embracing Gina Coladangelo during the coronavirus pandemic

I'm A Celeb fans were left cringing as Matt Hancock was seen 'recreating the scandal picture' with his girlfriend Gina Coladangelo when he said goodbye to the jungle.

The MP finished in third place as this year's series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here came to an end last night (27 November) after three weeks of Dingo Dollar Challenges and Bushtucker Trials.

Hancock bid goodbye to the two remaining campmates Owen Warner and Jill Scott as he crossed the bridge to leave the jungle, where he was reunited with Coladangelo.

Cameras caught the moment Hancock declared his adoration for his girlfriend as he shouted: "Oh my God, seriously... oh I love you."

The PDA came after Hancock was seen in now-infamous leaked images embracing Coladangelo in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak last year; a scandal which involved him not only cheating on his wife, but also breaking social distancing guidance.

It was hard to ignore the similarities between the leaked images and Hancock's display last night as he embraced Coladangelo with a hand on her lower back, causing Twitter users to take to the platform to share their shock.

One viewer wrote: "not matt basically recreating the scandal picture with gina at the end of the bridge."

Another commented: "I literally could not stop laughing when Matt Hancock embraced his misses Gina, I mean his hand went straight to the same place as the picture headline in the sun, was that just me?"

Hancock previously described his reunion with Coladangelo as 'the best thing about being kicked out' of the jungle as he was grilled about the affair by his fellow campmates.

Babatúndé Aléshé accused Hancock of having 'messed up' during the coronavirus pandemic, to which Hancock answered: "I messed up and I fessed up. I resigned and it’s no excuse but I fell in love, right? That also had a lot of other consequences obviously.

"That’s been hard, I obviously brought it on myself, so yeah… it’s been tough."

Hancock also acknowledged last night that his appearance in the jungle was 'controversial', saying: "I know some people said 'people in your position shouldn’t put themselves in embarrassing situations'."

However, he continued: "We’re all human and we all put ourselves in it. We are normal people.”

Hancock lost out on becoming jungle royalty to footballer Scott, who came in first place ahead of Hollyoaks actor Warner.
