It's nothing new that actors have to do a whole lot of weird and wonderful things when it comes to working.

And Emma Stone will know that fact more than anyone after only discovering she suffered from a condition after filming fake orgasm scene.

The 35-year-old Oscar award-winning Poor Things star, took on the iconic role of Olive Penderghast in Easy A back in 2010.

The rom-com, which was loosely inspired by the 1850 novel The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne, sees Olive lie to her bestie about her sexual experiences, with the rumours spreading quickly among her high school pals.

She then decides to use her new reputation to her advantage, embracing it and helping down-on-their-luck male students.

So, when her closeted friend Brandon, played by Dan Byrd, asks her to make others believe they are sleeping together so that bullies would leave him alone, she accepts to play along.

And, naturally, the pair had to make it believable by pretending to get it on while in the middle of a high school party.

To make it plausible, Olive suggests they can simulate having sex while at a party.

On the set, the pair jumped around and moaned on a bed which, funnily enough, led Stone, who was just 20 at the time, to discover she had asthma - something she was totally none the wiser of prior to that moment.

"Oh, for the love, I can't even simulate sex without dying!" she told MTV during the film at the time of promotion.

"I had a little asthma attack, without any prior knowledge that I had asthma, during the scene where we had to jump up and down for hours and hours screaming and yelling on the bed."

She recalled the incident as 'humiliating' as it happened so early on in production, with her subsequently fearing the entire crew would judge her.

The Hollywood A-lister continued: "[It] was humiliating, because it was the second day of shooting.

"Here's what it's going to be like the whole movie, as I'm breathing into an oxygen tank.

"The crew was like, 'She's going to be a real blast. Wow. Amazing. A 20-year-old having an asthma attack'."

Well, it seems that awkward moment didn't stop Stone from having one of the most successful careers in the 'biz after starring in box-office smashes including; La La Land, Cruella, The Amazing Spider-Man and, of course, Zombieland.
