Many of us are probably buzzing to settle down to some festive rom-coms and family classics this Christmas, but if you're after something a tad more suspenseful than Love Actually - you're in luck.

A brand new psychological thriller from Netflix is finally landing tomorrow (8 December) and fans are going wild for it.

It drops tomorrow.

Directed and produced by Sam Esmail, the latest Netflix addition is based on the 2020 novel of the same name by Rumaan Alam.

Leave The World Behind was first released in limited theatres last month (22 November 22) but it will now be available to stream from the comfort of your sofa from this Friday.

It's safe to say fans are beyond stoked to sink their teeth in as many rushed to praise the action-packed trailer, with one YouTube user writing: "Whoever put this trailer together deserves a raise and should do all trailers for movies."

A second praised: "These trailers deserve their own award show. Should be a shining example of how it is done properly."

"Gorgeous trailer," chimed in a third. "Thanks for not spoiling the entire movie plot! I am definitely gonna watch it in December!"

Some are saying even the trailer deserves an award.
Netflix

A fourth gushed: "Finally a new movie that looks interesting and isn't a sequel, remake, or superhero film."

Another added: "I checked out the trailer for Julia Roberts, and was extremely pleased to see Ethan Hawk. And then I went like 'Is that Kevin Bacon'? I'm soooo happy when I confirmed that towards the end of the trailer.

"I never knew about this movie before, but I'm definitely watching it in December. The cast is dynamite and there is enough mystery shown in the trailer to arouse my curiosity."

Nicely put.

Well, I know what I'll be cosying up to this weekend.

Leave The World Behind will be available to stream on Netflix as of tomorrow (8 December).
