Beyoncé ‘steals the show’ during Super Bowl after making unexpected announcement leaving fans in shock

Many fans felt she stole the show with her bombshell announcement

Fans reckon Beyoncé ended up ‘stealing the show’ during the Super Bowl after making a HUGE unexpected announcement, sending the Bey-Hive into overdrive.

Even if you’re not too fussed about sport, every year the Super Bowl proves to be a must-watch for anyone with even the remotest interest in celebrity culture.

Not only do we get a star-studded halftime show – this year with Usher and Alicia Keys – the famous faces also come through for the high profile adverts.

Beyoncé, 42, was among those to get involved this time, starring in a commercial for US phone company Verizon.

The minute-long clip saw her pass through several personas, such as ‘Beyonce of the United States’, ‘Bar-Bey’ and the first woman to launch the first rocket for the first woman in space.

The ad ended with the singer saying mysteriously: “Okay, they’re ready... Drop the new music."

She added: “I told y’all the Renaissance is not over.”

Beyoncé then took everyone by surprise as she dropped the bombshell that new album Renaissance Act II would be out next month, while also releasing two brand new singles there on the spot.

As the ultimate mic drop, she posted a teaser for the album on Instagram.

“YOURE KIDDING,” one person wrote in disbelief.

Another commented: “YOURE KDIDIDNGNGNFNDKSNGNNGNFNRJD.”

A third added: “Act II is already breaking the internet ofc.”

The latest tracks, titled ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ and ‘16 Carriages’, are available to stream and download now, while Act II lands on 29 March as a follow-up to 2022’s Renaissance.

This time, the concept will be a country album, with Bey singing in the first: “It’s a real-live boogie and a real live hoedown / Don’t be a b***h just take it to the floor now.”

After being treated to a Beyoncé Super Bowl ad, two new singles AND news of an entirely new album, fans were absolutely floored – with many arguing she’d upstaged Super Bowl performer Usher, in a similar move to Taylor Swift’s announcement of new work at the Grammys recently.

The new album drops next month.

One person tweeted with glee: “Beyoncé just be stealing the show making the world stop I love that for her.”

Someone else said: “This is Beyoncé’s THIRD Super Bowl stealing the show omg.”

Another gushed: “@taylorswift13 announces she’s dropping at the grammys @Beyonce announces she’s dropping at the super bowl…TWO AMAZING WOMEN STEALING THE SHOW!!!!”
