Fans spot lyric change in Miley Cyrus' Grammys performance and think it's a swipe at ex Liam Hemsworth

Fans spot lyric change in Miley Cyrus' Grammys performance and think it's a swipe at ex Liam Hemsworth

Miley gave an epic performance of Flowers at the Grammys after winning 'Record of the Year'

Miley Cyrus had a blast of a time at this year's Grammy Awards.

Not only did she bag not one but two Grammys for her song 'Flowers;, she also put on a spectacular performance while looking incredible and delivered *that* acceptance speech.

She was basically living her best life.

And fans are still talking about the performance even days later, with some noticing that at one point, Miley, 31, switched up the song's lyrics.

In fact, many people think Miley decided to change the words of 'Flowers' in a dig at ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth.

First off, the track is said to be aimed at Liam anyway and their tumultuous on-off relationship that went on for around a decade.

But a couple of minor changes were made to Miley's performance and fans were left convinced that she was calling the Aussie actor out.

Towards the end of the performance, Miley seemed to draw on personal experience.

Fans are still talking about the amazing performance.

She sang: "I didn’t want to leave you," before interrupting herself to add: "But I had to."

Followed by: "I didn’t want to fight," before adding: "But we did!"

She then switched up the song's chorus from: “I started to cry, then remembered I can buy myself flowers” to “I started to cry, then remembered I just won my first Grammy!”

Cue fans going wild.

And Miley later added in what fans believe to be an extra dig, when she sang: "...say things you don't understand," before interrupting herself to add: "And you never will."

And it didn't take long before people were discussing it all over social media.

One person wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "lol miley’s performance of flowers right now is a big f you to liam hemsworth."

While another said: "Has anybody checked on Liam after Miley just had one of the best performances of her life?"

And a third added: "My favorite part of Miley’s performance was when she sang 'say things you don’t understand' to which then she replied 'and NEVER will' lmaoo damn Liam, you’re pretty AND dumb?"

Meanwhile, a fourth commented: "Wherever in the world Liam Hemsworth is, I hope he saw Miley's amazing performance on the Grammy's. Legendary."

It wasn't just Miley's performance that had people talking, either.

Many commented on her acceptance speech after the singer won Record of the Year.

Miley thanked her 'mommy' Tish Cyrus, sister Brandi, and her 'love' Maxx Morando.

Someone that Miley failed to mention, however, was her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.

"Not everyone in the world will get a Grammy, but everyone in this world is spectacular," she concluded her speech.

"So please don’t think that this is important — Even though it’s very important, right, guys?

"We are very excited. I want to thank everyone who is standing on the stage. I don’t think I forgot anyone, but I might have forgotten underwear. Bye."
