Miley Cyrus has broken her silence after she faced backlash for her behaviour towards fans at a signing event with Naomi Campbell in London during the weekend.
On Saturday (21 June) the ‘Flowers’ singer, 32, held a fan signing event at Rough Trade East in the English capital for her newest single, ‘Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved,’ a track from her latest album Something Beautiful.
As she signed vinyl copies of the song, Miley was joined by the British supermodel, who features on the new track.

However, the duo faced criticism after a video from Reddit went viral, showing them chatting between themselves as a fan approached them.
The fan waited for a moment to get Miley’s attention, before the pop star signed the vinyl for her and smiled for a picture, then seemed to go back to her conversation.
As the clip racked up views on Reddit, people took to the replies to criticise the singer based on what they’d seen in the clip.

One wrote: “Big fan of Miley but this gave me the ick. She’s not even acknowledging the fans even though it’s clearly a sign + photo op.
“Not looking at the camera when the photographer is counting down and not even looking at the fans. Just tossing the vinyls to the side.”
Others added: “Wow! That’s so inconsiderate & rude imo” and “Girl come on. I know people aren't perfect but this is just.”
Someone else chimed in with: “You can see the disappointment in the fans’ faces when they realise she’s not paying them any attention.”
And now, Miley has seemingly addressed the situation by taking to Instagram with pictures of herself and Naomi from the day, as well as a lengthy caption.

The star also included plenty of videos interacting with fans, shutting down the haters.
She wrote: “Vinyl signing with @naomi. Our vinyl was originally set to drop a week later, but since we were both in London @roughtradeeast made it happen day of.

“I wanted to gift my Smilers an exclusive experience & unreleased vinyl to thank you for the love you’ve shown me in the UK over the years. I saw so many familiar faces & met some sweet new ones.”

She went on to explain: “The record store requested no photos due to the unexpected last minute turn out but we knew the night needed to be captured.

One fan took to the comments to write: “Yes queen shut the haters down! I was at the signing and you and Naomi were nothing but sweet. Thank you so much & it was amazing to finally meet you.”
Another Miley fan agreed: “YES. The haters are so extra and are not doing their RESEARCH. You and Naomi look SICKENING and Vijay’s photography is AMAZING. Sending.”
And a third chimed in with: “Miley asked Rough Trade to do this signing day of - pushed to meet as many fans as possible, and made sure that fans got photos even though it was meant to be pre-signed vinyls. The sweetest icon.”
