Anyone chronically online will no doubt know just how divided the internet can be.
Whether it's down to opinions on celebrities, politics, fashion, food or just about anything else, it's clear that social media is a breeding ground for heated debates.
And the latest debate to rear its head is all to do with a seemingly simple 'thank-you' note handwritten by Hollywood A-lister Angelina Jolie for the staff after staying at a luxury hotel.
What makes the note such a hot topic, you may ask?

Well, it would appear that half the internet can read the Maria actress' writing perfectly while the other half can't make out a thing.

Those in the 'I can't read that' camp have flocked online to share their theories as to what the message actually says.
One X user penned: "All I got was 'thank you for a … stay at your beauty 'woods'? The 'Maria' and had a lovely time here.'"
A second queried: "Thank you for a restful stay at your beautiful (?). The 'Maria' all had a wonderful time here."
"What the hell is the word after 'beautiful'?" wondered a third as a fourth chirped: "Her calligraphy is very doctor-like."
Others, however, read Jolie's handwriting with ease and couldn't understand why so many people found it so hard to 'decipher'.
A fifth X user slammed: "I know there’s a literacy crisis and all, but are y'all actually struggling with this? 'Thank you for a restful stay at your beautiful resort. The 'Marias' all had a lovely time here. With love, Angelina Jolie'. Is that not it? Am I crazy?"
"Can people not read cursive anymore wtf?!" a sixth called out as a seventh scoffed: "That isn’t hard to read. It’s just cursive writing. Good grief, people."
Another quipped: "Decipher? It looks easy to understand."
And a final X user echoed: "I can read every word!"
The debate has resurfaced this week, despite the letter appearing to have first been shared back in October 2023.
Greek City Times reported at the time that Jolie was staying at the Aldemar Olympian Village while shooting her film, Maria, where she plays the top soprano, Maria Callas.
The luxury resort revealed the thank-you note on its Facebook account, writing: "We had the pleasure of receiving a thank-you letter from the extraordinary Angelina Jolie. Thank you again all for #angelinajoliewashere."
The outlet added that Jolie wrote in her note: "Thank you for a restful stay at your beautiful resort. The 'Maria' cast had a lovely time here!"
