Inside Vicky McClure's wedding where she reunited with Line of Duty stars

Photos shared on social media have given fans a glimpse inside the wedding of actor Vicky McClure and her film director partner Jonny Owen.

The 40-year-old star, who's best known for her role as Detective Inspector Kate Fleming in BBC’s Line of Duty, tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in Nottingham at the weekend, which was attended by her AC12 co-stars.

Vicky and her new husband managed to keep their nuptials secret until announcing the news on Jonny's daughter Katie Owen's BBC Wales show.

Sharing the news on her show, Katie said: "If anyone's listening, this is my dad and Vicky McClure and they've just got married."

After she asked them how the big day was, Vicky said: "We've had the most amazing special day. We're gutted that you've had to go back but we're so proud of you for what you're doing.

"You're missing lots of dancing Katie, but we can do that again. We love you and miss you."

The This Is England star looked absolutely sensational in an off-the shoulder gown with a high leg split and trailing veil, while Jonny, 54, wore a navy suit with a pale blue satin tie.

Photos of the happy couple show the pair beaming into the camera as Vicky holds a stunning bouquet of wildflowers.

Sharing a couple of snaps for her big day, Vicky wrote: “Tied up in Notts!!! Best. Day. Ever!!!!!”

The newlyweds had their first dance sung to them by Our Dementia Choir, a group she founded in 2018.

And once the official part was done, the happy couple wasted no time in letting their hair down with their nearest and dearest, including Line of Duty’s Martin Compston and Adrian Dunbar, as well as the show's creator Jed Mercurio.

In a clip shared on Instagram, Vicky can be seen throwing some shapes on the dance floor having changed out of her peep toe heels and into a more sensible pair of trainers, while in another photo she can be seen swigging from a can of Red Stripe. A woman after my own heart.

Sharing his own photos from the day Martin wrote: "Incredible day in Notts celebrating the best of people @vicky.mcclure and @jonathanowen71 nuptials

"First dance with the Dementia Choir was just beautiful and says everything about the two of them sharing their moment with the dementia team. A few shandies were had afterwards."
