A truly wild new fan theory has emerged about Taylor Swift's new album - and it's safe to say it's caused backlash among Swifties.
The hitmaker, 35, dropped her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, on Friday (3 October) and fans have been breaking down the lyrics and searching for Easter eggs ever since.
So far, they believe that 'Actually Romantic' could be a diss track aimed at Charli XCX, while 'The Fate of Ophelia' was apparently inspired by none other than William Shakespeare.
However, one song that's arguably drawn the most attention around the world is 'Wood', which left Taylor fans stunned when they first heard it.

The raunchy track is thought to be a tribute to her fiancé Travis Kelce and includes a series of NSFW double entendres.

At first glance, the song is simply about making your own luck and ignoring superstitions like black cats and cracks in the pavement.
However, upon second listen, fans are realising that there's actually quite a lot of risqué references.

The lyrics read: "Forgive me, it sounds cocky / He ah-matized me and opened my еyes / Redwood tree, it ain't hard to see / His love was thе key that opened my thighs."
The song goes on: "Girls, I don't need to catch the bouquet / To know a hard rock is on the way.
And other lyrics go: "The curse on me was broken by your magic wand."
And of course, referencing Travis directly with: "New Heights of Manhood / I ain't gotta knock on wood."

Fans have gone wild for the raunchy song, however, some have actually taken it a little too far.
One social media user took to Twitter to share their explicit theory, writing: "Wood being track 9…. 9 inches being 22 cm … oh tay u eating good."
While a second agreed: "Taylor is a genius because the most graphic thing about the song Wood is not any of the lyrics but the fact that it’s track 9 and is 2:30 long.
"And she will never in a million years comment on that, so she gets to be all cheeky and innocent while allowing us to read what we want into it."

However, others have understandably pointed out how invasive this and 'weird' this theory is, urging the poster to delete it.
One fan penned: "This is so weird please delete."
"That is just not it … disgusting," quipped a second person, while someone else chimed in with: "You still have time to delete this."

And another user rightly pointed out: "I think this would fall into the category of Easter egging her personal life which she doesn’t do."
During her appearance on Travis' New Heights podcast in August, the singer confirmed that she would never include an Easter egg that's anything to do with her personal life.
Taylor explained: "I'm never going to plant an Easter egg that ties back to my personal life. It's always going to be towards the music or something I have coming up, a plan I have coming together, something that you don't know why I'm saying for a specific reason, and you'll go back and be like, 'Oh my God.'"
So there you have it, let's keep that in mind and maybe not come up with intrusive theories.
